WIP 02990 Crypt of the Vampiress ++: Custom made casket of souls

Recommended Posts

I have that vampire primed and unpainted on my desk (didn't know what I wanted to do with her). I now feel compeled to cover her in gore.

Thanks Jaws!

The spirit hosts are done, too. They look the same, so I'll just post this one. (noticed a few mistakes to fix when taking the picture, though.

She reminds me of the dancer in Dusk 'til Dawn. :)

Bit sad now. My initial setup for the diorama won't work. The casket is done, though. But I am sort of back to the drawing board..

Yeah, no.. the casket was lacking that extra little oomph.. The "moat" now flows with sanguine vitae. The blood is much red'er(?) than what the camera phone depicts. Maybe it's the gloss.
Back on track again as well.. Hopefully I'll get to finish by the end of next week. :)

And the diorama-thing is starting to take shape:

Where did you get that base and the walls? Is that all GW scenery?

The scenery is all GW. The graveyard box: Garden of Morr. It's really cheap for what you get. Think I paid 329NOK, which equals.. .43$?

The larger base everything will be mounted on, is the plastic container for a gingerbread house, left over from christmas. :D

Oh, and btw.. I am soo tired of painting #¤%"! roses.. I hate flowers! My eyes hurt from trying to figure out if a leaf is supposed to be part of the flower or stalk.. '''\(; ; )/'''

More minis prepared for an upcoming Warhammer: Age of Sigmar escalation league.

First we have The Wurmspat, the Nurgle warband from Warhammer: Underworlds

And painted at the same time, also for my Maggotkin of Nurgle, a random Blightking, a Harbinger of Decay, and a converted Lord of Blights.

Picked up just because I wanted to paint some more Ghouls, here are The Grymwatch from Warhammer Underworlds.

I was amazed the amount of character they can get into a snap-fit kit these days.

I forgot to post these earlier as it's been a crazy last few months, but my first finished miniatures of 2020 were Putrid Blightkings for an upcoming Warhammer escalation league.  Some were rebased for AoS and touched up, some were brand new(ish)

I got these guys painted sometime last year, but I'm just now getting around to showing them off. They were spray painted with a glow in the dark green spray paint, which I was expecting would tinge them with a spectral look from above, and it didn't work, so I just sprayed the whole mini, then inked them, dry brushed them, and then did the painting on the bases and weapons and such. I'm pretty satisfied with them overall, though I think the eyes aren't as obvious in the photos as they should be.

Oh! And they glow in the dark a bit, though that's hard to photograph...

This lil guy had been sitting on my shelf for a while. Decided to tint some metallic w blue paint for his armor. Pretty happy how it turned out. As always, feedback is welcome
