I go to a lot of conventions and trade shows both for work and for fun. Occasionally, you will catch a strain that isn't common from where you are from. However, this is the worst I've ever had it. I actually went the doctor because it was so bad and he confirmed that I had a strain of influenza. I did my best to isolate myself from staff/clients/family so as not to pass on the love.

Next year I think I'll wear a hazmat suit for my classes :zombie:

A or B?

Around here there was a lot of influenza A but B picked up pretty steady in April.

I can't speak for anybody else, but I actually had a blood culture draw, and it came back as "B".

For what it's worth, I did have a flu shot, back in October.

I spen most of last week in self-imposed isolation to get lots of bed rest and keep from infecting my friends or co-workers. So far, it seems to have worked. (I'm back at work like normal now.)

On a positive note, along with the flu, I did bring back some great ideas from ReaperCon.  I learned about pigments and bought a complete set from Secret Weapon (already got them in the mail).  I had a great class where I learned about transparent cloth and I have fantastic information about developing sculpts from concept art.

Weighing it all together, I'm pretty sure I made out like a bandit.

... either that or I will take the knowledge with me to my grave
