But seriously, will the Sophie this year be just one model, or like ks1 where I'll have to hoard an urban legend for my collection?

 

KS1 was the metal Sophies. It doesn't cost Reaper that much to make a new metal model. The bones molds run about $10,000 or so. I can see another bones Sophie for this KS, but I would think an Urban Legend version would likely need to be in metal again. I think reaper would hedge their bets on how many nude Sophies would get sold Vs bones.

We are having that mold remade, not as part of this Kickstarter but from our normal operating budget. We are also having the models from Bones I remade so they can be released.

 

All of this is on pause while we get CAV out of the way, though, but the plan is solidly in place and ready to launch.

We're working on getting those remade, yes. However, those remakes are outside of the project, and are technically off-topic for this specific thread.

Second, mundane animals like bears, cheetahs, lions, snakes and elephants do work with multiple genres and are attractive to some collectors, just limit these to the more popular animals.  No aardvarks, emus, or platypuses.  Some giant frogs, ants, beetles, rats and spiders are also suprisingly popular and useful.

 

Uh... speak for yourself, I would love to have a mini for pretty much every single animal on the pathfinder familiar/animal companion lists. I really prefer to use minis in my games so a lack of an adequate mini means a lack of choice for my players.

 

Obviously I don't want the whole core set to be such things but I'd be super happy to see an animal add on that was nothing but mundane animals. Check ebay - the cost of prepainted bats, and goats, and pigs and stuff like that is outrageous - usually that means that the figures are popular. Also, I'd love to see animals that aren't available really like racoons, rhinos, etc.

 

Yes I can get stand-ins from dollar stores and such but they are never really the right scale (though I will admit some of reaper's scaling is weird but w/e)

 

Speaking of bats - I would love it if reaper included some stands for flying creatures if it includes flying stuff in this set. I was really disappoint by the tiny little cloaker beast that I can't possibly use for anything because I have no easy way to mount it.

Bones II, I took the large shipping costs and VAT because the low $ made up for most of the difference. Now, with the $ stronger, I'll only consider backing if there is a EU option.

 

It is not the VAT itself which is the problem, though, I have no problem paying VAT, but shipping and handling:

- I need to pay an additional 30$ for handling, which almost disappears completely if handling is divided over an entire container

- I payed about 21 $ (shipping, handling, VAT all included) for a large box of Zombicide 3 stuff, and 140 $ (shipping only) for a slightly bigger Bones II box (VAT was obviously a lot more for the Bones, because of the higher value).

 

Anyway, one thing I like to see is old, ugly and/or fat women. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against skinny, sexy women, but I recently went through my pile of bones to find a suitable mini for an elderly female wizard of realistic proportions and came up with one option: a waitress.

Dear Reaper, all your giants will be mine! Just pleeeeeeeease don't put one solitary giant in another mixed set (like the stone giant from Bones II). Many of us need multiple copies of giants and having them stuck in a mixed pack is pretty disappointing. It was great to be able to get multiple sets of hill giants though. That's doing it right.

Yup. It's why there is a set of stalagmites in one bag and a lone stalagmite in th ebag with the cloak beast.
