I really like your colors, and I think they work really nicely with the sculpt. I particularly like the purples in the thigh-wrappings.

I do have to disagree that "every painter must" this model...it's always been one of my least favorite KD pieces. Most of the pinups, really.

But I do love the attention and care Poots puts into his work. One day, I'll have all my KDM KS stuff. One day. And another day, I'll have time to paint them. Hopefully in that order.

Absolutely love your colour choices, and of course her face and golden hair become the sun in my mind.

The purple-to-blue to violet sunset tones are delicious eye candy, and the smooth, warm skintones compliment beautifully. Did you use some violet in the skin tone shadows?

I find the model.... sexually overstated, but you've really turned it into something truly gorgeous. The night/sunset tones make it feel intimate or romantic rather than blandly tarty.

Yep, totally in love with this piece. Fantastic work.

Yes, fantastic work with the colours.

Yeah, not a fan of those either. LOVE the monster's aesthetics on the most part.

Awesome.

Love the knee gems and the skintones

The skin isn't fully blended and I discovered that a little Indian Shadow goes a long way, but that's just part of the learning curve.  Overall I think Scalecolor is nice, just different.

My twilight knight isn't even assembled.

Yours came out so good! I love her skin and the gems really pop as well. The colors all work together for a lovely twlight look.

Great work Auberon. Your choice of color scheme does the sculpt justice, I think. My Twilight Knight pvc versions are as of yet unpainted.

What are you two waiting for? Get to it!  ::P:  Well, OK, it is Mothers Day.  But tomorrow you can take a sick day just to paint.

I think she look great, and nothing wrong with vibrant

Thanks.  A lot of what I've painted has tended towards vibrant.  I'm thinking of a future project where everything is fairly subdued, but I've no concrete plans yet.

Great job. Love the color scheme you went with. Definitely twilighty.

I think you just made up a word there.  ::P:

Not the pinup, but I've posted the original on teh forum a while ago: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/52574-twilight-knight-kingdom-death/

Cash, I feel as if you are somehow missing the point of painting these.  It's cool if beefcake's your thing, but this guy doesn't qualify...  ::D:

Some things don't always come across well in print.  I wasn't being 100% serious that everyone must paint one.  Just 99...

Yep, totally in love with this piece. Fantastic work.

The skin is all done using the Scale 75 "scalecolor" flesh set. The Indian Shadow is more red while the African Shadow is quite purple. Full details are in the WIP section.

Well you guys are in trouble because they came in a set of 8 and I have six more to go.

Ha. No harm done, I think. My response was intended in good humor.

And, even if the sculpts aren't my favorites, like I said: the detail in each piece is awesome, and seeing what a talented painter does with it is always a pleasure. Your Twilight Knight has a brilliant color scheme and a great facial expression, so I'm looking forward to the rest of the set.
