Great job everyone so far. Here is a quick phone pic of my meager goals prior to starting (which I had meant to post yesterday and forgot).post-5971-0-57623300-1436683337_thumb.jpg

Since I planned on eight hours my goals are simple, I want to finish my Kirin and Reaper Barbarian. Then assemble Zerkova and finally I hope to put a serious dent in Loras's armor.

Today I managed four hours prior to going out this evening and tomorrow I plan at least four more but if I manage to pull myself out of bed early enough I will push for a few more. Fingers crossed.

ok 4am again, here is where I am at....

The Behir base collapsed, need to find a better 'putty' than what I used....

A coat of flesh on the fairy...

Nothing on the demons...

A bit done on the half orc until issues came up with the sculpt that I can't figure out....

Knarthax, I have some of those RP Ogres somewhere. Wonderful to see them getting some paint.

Barmaid done. Pic will go up tomorrow on show-off. Started on the two women townsfolk with children. Got about 6 hours in today so far. Can't believe how long it takes me to paint a mini! And a simple townsperson at that, sheesh!

Shhh! That's fast for some of us folk ;)

Progress and disaster discoveries report:

  • After a breakfast, grocery store, and pharmacy break I finally settled in at the workbench.
  • Water jars were caked and paint encrusted.
  • Left workbench for jar washing session.
  • Found a few more pre-primed minis to add to the pile.
  • Cleaned one metal mini that was not primed.
  • Blu-tacked him to a pill bottle.
  • Put black paint (for lack of black primer) all over the shadowy inaccessible areas around his feet / cloak / robes.
  • Started putting white brush on primer everywhere else after the black had dried.
  • Blu-tack is not holding if I tilt the mini.
  • Blu-tack is defeated by washes? or runny brush-on primer?
  • Why is the MSP Brush On Primer runny like a wash?
  • White primer got into the black turning much of it grey.

Nothing has gone well enough to warrant a photo.

You need to shake the dickens out of that primer. Every. Time. It separates and sediments horribly. And it is a little on the thin side.

I have painted the two bases I started yesterday, and begun a 3rd (for Sophie).  Lack of sleep and high humidity today have me moving slower than usual. And paint isn't drying either.

I got eyes done on 6 figures and mostly done an another. Then I got distracted by video games. I did manage to get base coating and shading on a couple of figures. I will try again tomorrow.

Video games were why I was so slow yesterday, playing Civ V at the same time as painting is possible but leads to slow progress on both.

Oh my that rabbit is adorable. I love your conversion. Something bunnicula-esque comes to mind.

I guess I just never added it up before, so seems disappointingly slow.

Clock started at noon.  Will probably only get 4-5 hours in today. I am trying to get a basecoat on KS2 Sophie right now.

I see you are going to finish her before KS3 Sophie!  :;):

Excellent work, I will comment over there shortly! That guy was in my to-do pile as well, though doubt I will get to him this weekend.

Well, I've got about 3 hours in so far, but I'm working on finishing up my exchange fig, so no pictures.

Keep up the good work, nice to see us all making progress!

I always have problems with sticky tack. I find the stuff I get at the office supply store to be really crappy. I've been buying some german brand online and it seems much hardier. Though the dullcote seems to eventually defeat it after so many sprays (I re-use my base holders).

is where you find it!

My Pathfinder group have been using a lot of animal companions lately, so the familiar packs have been getting a workout....
