Anastrianna
Hey guys, I need some help with two reaper paints I have. The colors are oiled leather and Sunlight. When I open them, it's paste...I can't even shake them. I've tried to thin them out but I still get grainy clumps. Has this happened to anyone else?? Any advise? 0311
Have you tried stirring the paint. I seem to have much better luck stirring paint than shaking it in fact I read somewhere thats how your supposed to mix your paints. I take a regular toothpick open the pot and bigin stirring. If the paint seems a little thick I add a few drops of water and stir some more. It is entirely possible that your paint has dried out beyond saving. If the pots are new that should not be the case and I would look to exchange them. If they've been used they will dry out eventually especially if you paint straight from the pot. That's all I can think of
eastman
My first bottle of Sunlight was exactly like you describe. (Mine was in the Learn to Paint 2 kit). Send a message to [email protected] and I'm sure they'll take care of things.
Ghost Rider
Like eastman said send a message to [email protected] and they should help you out. I remember awhile back that there was a problem with the base of a few of their paints and you might thave jsut gotten a couple at the tail end. The Reaper peeps are real good about taking care of these things.
Anastrianna
My first bottle of Sunlight was exactly like you describe. (Mine was in the Learn to Paint 2 kit). Yeah I got both of mine from the Learn to Paint 2 kit. Hmm, maybe I'll send an email. I was just at my FLGS and all of their oiled leather paints looked the same... Thanks! Lars Porsenna
I had a similar problem with a bottle I bought on Fri, but instead the paint had coagulated into a spungy mass with only a thin, washlike residue left in liquid form. I shot off an e-mail to Reaper.... Damon.
Durak
Reaper is really good about replacing defective products. This is another reason why I buy 90% of my mini's through them.
cthulhu's librarian
I picked up the Learn To Paint 2 kit on Saturday, and found the same problems with 3 bottles-Oiled Leather, Kilt Green, and Sunlight. Sunlight was by far the worst, it's not much more than a blob of yellow goo. I sent an email to cust. service last night. Glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem. ReaperIvy
That's a problem with a defective yellow base we had last summer (all of the colors you've listed in this thread). Send a messge to [email protected] and we'll get it replaced for you. :) Reaper Ivy Layout Chick
