Dear backers,

The time of the new campaign for Demigods Evolution resin minis is approaching.

The date is set for the 9th of June.

Guys from Prodos Games are working tirelessly on redesigning each miniature and we have some progress to share. Here are the 3D renders that will hit 3D printing starting Monday.

Some of the new masters are done already and are awaiting molding.

We have some great news regarding painting of minis. We have teamed up with the guys from Awaken Realms who will be offering their painting services for Demigods Evolution miniatures. Painted miniatures will be part of the offer in the new campaign. Here are few examples of their work:

We started working on optimizing one new model for plastic molding in order to check if we can upgrade plastic minis to the level compatible with Demigods Evolution. This is the render of Protector that is being prepared for plastic molding:

What we concluded so far about the transitioning of new models to plastic:

- New designs will require that minis are produced from more parts which would raise the costs of assembly to the level that we would not be able to cover. That would lead to plastic minis being shipped unassembled.

- Each model would have to again be optimized for plastic production, which would increase costs in both money and time.

With the current look of things, upgrading of plastic miniatures will be challenging, however, we are prepared to do our best to upgrade the quality of our game in any way possible.

We are sure that many of you are wondering how much would upgrade to resin game cost. We are preparing 2 options:

1. Silver

Backers of previous campaign who ordered Black or Red edition will have an option to upgrade to Silver - This one will replace plastic miniatures in your game with their avatars and add + 22 resin minis (4 Demigods with alternative parts + 14 heroes with alternative parts + 2 heroes with alternative minis (4 minis total)). This upgrade will cost around $80 (free shipping)

New backers will be able to get the Silver pledge level for around $200 + shipping cost

2. Gold

Backers of previous campaign who ordered Black or Red edition will have an option to upgrade to Gold - This one will replace plastic miniatures in your game with their avatars and add + 41 resin minis (4 Demigods with alternative parts + 20 heroes with alternative parts + 4 heroes with alternative minis (8 minis total) + 8 minions + God of War). This upgrade will cost around $180 and it will also include all resin miniatures unlocked trough stretch goals (free shipping)

New backers will be able to get the Gold pledge level for around $300 + shipping cost

Cheers!

Nikola and Milos

With goddesses I usually give a pass on how scantily they dress... They are gods, they can dress how they want... and have been around for a while so their fashion may be outdated compared to more sensibly dressed contemporary female warriors... And really are you gonna tell the supremely powerful goddess that she is violating the dress code and has to go home? The same applies for bare chested male gods...

These look good. I like Archer goddess. Pic 3 looks like a female orc... So I like too. Aren't the minis from this game large though? Like 35mm or bigger? I think that was why I didn't back the original kickstarter, but there have been so many that I don't remember for sure...

If they have a pledge for getting 1 or 2, then I will pick up at least Archer goddess, and orc goddess.

They changed resin manufacturer, well that kind of things happen all the time and I already expected some delay ..

What I definitely don't like is that there are suddenly new minis and options that weren't included in the original KS.

And the only way to get them (thus far) is to put in an additional pledge.

.. obviously a smart way to give pledgers an incentive to make up for the money they lost by switching to another resin manufacturer.

Baaaad!! :wacko:

I like cheesecake female minis as much as any other guy, but you need to have at least one fully armored goddess.

At least one.

Plus at least one male deity that barely has any clothes on, just to be fair.

Ha you wish! The games industry is still a very sexualized "by boys for boys" industry for the most part. I don't see that change anytime.

Original game will still be shipped as ordered.. this is an option to upgrade figures to resin from plastic.. their previous manufacturer did a pretty horrible job..

To clarify:
@ all
If you already backed Black or Red edition, you will receive your original pledge (with assembled plastic miniatures) by the end of the year. Upgrading to Silver or Gold is NOT MANDATORY.
@Allen Morrison
Plastic box contains 2 same copies of each hero miniature. Gold one contains one of each in resin but with alternative parts.
@Charlie St Clair
You are one of the backers that did not receive their resin minis. We will send you God of War, Protector, Warlord, Illusionist and Tactician before start of new campaign.

@Yip "Korhil" Ng
Comparison will be available once new preview page is up.

@Alberyo GM
This actually is a resin miniature KS. The only reason there is a game included is because we are using that to offer a bundle. 40+ resin minis retail for over $600 and are offering them for less than $300 in a bundle.

Well (and no offense meant to anyone's religious beliefs), in my opinion there could be worse dogma than high heels, cheerleader skirt and straps for chest protection... I am not saying that I would join that religion without research, but it would not cause me to reject it out of hand either... :)

Seriously though, it is a nice mini if somewhat absurd clothing wise... I didn't even notice the skirt or high heels at first glance... I would still get it though... :) don't judge....

the orc warrioress (Picture 3) is pretty cool though, The more I look the more I think that a squad of these (with alternate weapons or poses) would rock...

Well, after the KS was funded they changed the hero cards so suddenly they all got 2 options.

Some of the heroes now have an alternative (beast, elemental) version, the corresponding mini of which you can only get by getting resin miniatures.

That you can only obtain by participating in the 2nd KS.

Not really a very nice move, imo.

I have nto followed this one closely. Are they startign a second campaign to fund the material switch for a previous campaign which si undelivered and charging more money from existign backers to make that happen??

Their previous manufacturer, Titan's Forge, delivered some really bad quality minis out to everyone and refused to send masters or the digital files to these guys so they're having to start over from scratch.

Not quite true, this is from an update from the first one (via Dakka):

- First of all, all backers will receive new two-sided cards in their games, both red and black edition backers.

- Second, backers who ordered resin miniatures and they came defected/incomplete or wasn't delivered at all, and if those backers responded to our mails or message, will receive new miniatures from Prodos Games.

The real question, for me, is are they going stick with the odd 48mm scale?

Not quite true?!?!

Yes, "all backers will receive new two-sided cards in their games".

But on some of the new flip sides there will be alternative forms of previous heroes, some of which aren't in the original KS pledge. And will be included in the all new resin KS.

Like aforementioned wolf and elemental.

So .. what exactly is not quite true in what I wrote?
