That is quite an assortment of BEAUTIFUL creations. Picking out a favorite would be a difficult chore except that Dirty, Disgusting Rat is just SO perfectly revolting...WONDERFUL choice of colors. VERY WELL DONE all around!

I love Agatha, and the tick, and the rat, and Ankheg and...

I haven't really wanted to paint Ankheg myself, until I saw yours popping up out of the lawn.  That's great!  I also really like that dark greenish(?) tinge he has on his legs and face.

I love-love the highlights on Agatha's hair and boots.  She looks just like a comic book character.  I actually think she'd look better with nice strong shading and highlights like that on the rest of her. The smoothness of the red coat is nice, but I'd like to see deeper shadows/lining on the creases around her belt and the collar, for instance.

I think your idea about putting some grass on the ankheg's back is brilliant!! You should do that.

I'm stealing that idea from you, BTW. ::):

Oh yeah, forgot to say that too.  Ditto.

Jonishi, consider your idea stolen.

I hadn't considered it like that, perhaps that will help bring the point across. I'm not sure I will come back to Agatha, but I'm planning to paint the rest of that series in a similar style.

You're both very welcome! I actually turned the base for the Ankheg upside down, as someone on this forum suggested, and filled it in rather than sculpting a hill on top of it. I think that helps with the lawn-look.
