I was wondering if any of the other forumites are planning to head to Atlanta for CMON Expo? I am currently on the fence and am needing a nudge one way or the other.

sadly... I will be working- had to switch weekends with one of my partners for a family thingy.  Which means I'd be around the 13th weekend if it isn't too late to schedule a painting day.  ::):

Oh wow! Didn't know this was coming up. Unfortunately, Sommer is upon us. Sommer means lots and lots of kid events @church, including the weekend of CMON. I'd love to go considering how much of a blast we had at ReaperCon, but I'm not going to be able to make it THIS year.... :down:

I'd love to, but one big trip per year is all I can do, and Reapercon is currently holding that slot. Have fun if you do go! :)

So, I'll be leaving today for the start of CMON Expo tomorrow... Fiasco books and a "few" adventures packed (like 50+, er, that would be 20)

 

I can't wait to see some old friends and meet some new friends!

      I've been painting up a lot of Starcadia Quest.
       
      It only seems fitting to start out with the Star Wars characters. For most of my Starcadia Quest, I went with a Borderlands style- with lots of black lining against bright colors and even black hard edging to create that Borderlandish look. I plan to convert a few Starcadians into Borderlands characters as well.

      Another day another devil.
       
      Several months ago I was searching for a suitable mini for a chain devil.  I was in need of a few of them to represent hellish prison guards.  Unfortunately, there's not a lot of options that I liked.  Most of the official pre-painted chain devils look like awkward Michelin Men.  So I went looking for a suitable substitute.
       
      I settled on the Pelegarth Brutes from CMON's Wrath of Kings.  A few modifications later and...

      I really liked working on these guys.  It was a lot of fun reinterpreting an existing monster and finding a way to make it unique.  They're definitely a favorite of mine.  Plus I love that the chains actually dangle and swing when moving the minis around.
