Woah! I LOVE the glowing-with-internal fire effect! That's spectacular!

If I was to offer any criticism, it would be that the rest of the mini looks flat and drab by comparison. I know you want to emphasize the brightness of the fire, but I think an extra pass or highlight and/or shadow on the rest of the scales (especially the red ones) would truly put this over the top.

That said, this is pretty amazing as-is, and I'm excited to see it in the context of the larger piece.

Really great idea and execution on the internal fire.  I may need to steal that for a later project.  I think you may want to add some contrast and interest to some of the large flat colored surfaces you have.  The scales don't have much of range and neither do the horns and claws.

This is awesome though.  Keep it up.

Thanks guys...the red scales actually do have a better contrast in person, I used purples for the shadows which you see when you look at it real life, it just didn't get picked up by the camera on my phone. When I get the barbarian painted, I'll be taking pics with a professional camera and better lighting. But thanks a bunch guys...I'm glad everyone likes it :-D and to be absolutely honest, this is only the third mini I've painted to completion.
