I will be at Pennsic sadly.. I won't be able to make GenCon for at least the next 5 years and then only for the year they are on the later weekend :(

Come to my encampment. We will make you not sad.

Oh also I will be in the Dark Sword speed paint (body willing) Friday at Noon. Stop by before hand and say hi, or during to Heckle me!

 

And Marysa, do you have any speed paints scheduled? I would of course love to hang out with you for longer than then the 5 minutes before the next speed paint begins. :)

I will also be in that speed paint so while I may say "Hi," I shan't have time to heckle you since I'll need to concentrate on defeating you.

I will also be doing the privateer press speed paint on Thursday, And the Sky Key solution on Friday night.

Get some blanks and drop by a little before start. I got into 3 of them last year that way because a registered contestant didn't show.

I can not volunteer to shop. I need to limit my activity, so I will be doing very little of the dealer hall, if any at all. I need to maintain a sedentary lifestyle. What better way than to do that than sit at a gaming table.

If anyone will be there early and is interested. I was thinking of bringing some paints and minis and painting in the upstairs serpentine lounge on Wednesday night. (or possibly at a table by the other escalators if there isn't a good space int the serpentine lounge).

  

Depending on the time I am in for this. I'll have paints, brushes and random bones if someone wants to paint and doesn't want to bring the tools. But beware I may get more talking done then painting. Let me know I'll try to watch this thread better but feel free to pm me to make sure I see it .

I have a ticket to Thursday Dark Sword and Friday Impact speed paints. Although I agree it would be nice to get to chat a bit, we shall have to try to make time to get a drink or two. Maybe invite Debbie if she is up for it, as after all those speed paints she deserves quite a bit more than a drink.

Oh and anyone who wants to do a speed paint and didn't score a ticket, there are always no shows and previous years they have had two spots that are for generics so they always have some space for people onsite.

I believe there are 4 spots for on the spot generics every round.   But if you want to score one of those spots, try to be at least a 1/2 hour early since they go fast. 

 

 

But it looks like Marsya, Evil James and I will all be in the same Speed paint at noon on Friday. So come heckle us!

I am looking forward going to GenCon.  It will be a little different this year.  Dan won't be with us but we now have Brad's brother and another guy from our gaming group coming along.

 

We are leaving Tuesday and plan to take our time going down.  We are leaving from Niagara Falls Canada and will be crossing at Buffalo.  Any suggestions of cool attractions/restaurants/game stores between home and Indy?  We have done the Rock and Roll hall of fame one year and a HUGE game store another year (I can't remember the name but it was really big).

I will be in town all day Wednesday, so I am happy to accommodate schedules for casual painting. I also met Marsya at ReaperCon, so she might recognize me when we're there.

 

Should I send my contact info to somebody to coordinate?

If you happen to be there around lunch time, "North Market" in Columbus is quite a nice collection of shops and food stands.
