Very well done J white is a huge pain

I forgot how painful white was when I decided to do the horse.

I have four (4) shades of white going on all over that pony !

I think I painted the horse alone at least three times over..LOL.

Very well done Mr. Jason and the photographs look great too! ;)

Something about those fall leaves that just makes me see the speed in the gallop! I can smell the rush of the fall windows and the horse. Thank you for sharing Mr. Jason.

Ah, you're bringing back memories of when I tried painting a white unicorn with enamel paints!  :;):  I put so many layers of paint on trying to get it smooth that I was starting to seriously lose detail!

Fortunately the elf steals the show with the burnished patina on his armor and his rich blue cloak.  Lovely job once again!  ^_^

Thanks Devin;

You helped me a lot with that photography, and thank you for such a poetic description of

the mini !  Jay

Thank you Littlebluberry;

I can relate to the paint incident,

That touch of orange/brown in the armor color really gave me something to highlight !

The blues were fun to work with.

Ub3r n3rds  reminding me to use my color wheel to get the complimentary colors in the shadows

really paid off there !

You've done a wonderful job with both the horse and rider. I love the base!

Thank you chaoswolf !

It was a lot of fun to do (but white is not for the faint of heart).

I came on the idea of the base since robinh is a fan of orange, and

I had incorporated orange in the plumes, in his armor (tinted with an orange and brown),

and in his kilt, and legging bottoms.  Figured the orange leaves in the base would tie it all together.

Thanks for taking the time to give me feedback !

Nice job, Jay. White made me put down the brushes for two months during my first year of painting :p

Thanks Cash !

White scares the heck out of me, but it is part of that Rite Of Passage to being a Mini painter.

I recognize that, but wish my knee's didn't buckle when I start !
