ub3r_n3rd
Grabbed the ink set and 3 from the F&G tine today, making it my 4th order from them this month. I will be able to do a review on the differences between the 2 sets relatively soon. Used them again this weekend, and my initial thoughts haven't changed - they are really great paints. I just hope I feel the same way about the F&G sets as I do about the Scalecolor sets.... You'll have to let us know what you think of the F&G sets.

Pretty much a nice mix of Reaper and Vallejo--so nice and runny but good coverage.
Willen
Maaaaaaan I want to live in a place with good shipping options I made the mistake of browsing the site. Good prices too; last time I was in Spain they charged me 40 Euros for a set at a store.
Auberon
I did end up making a purchase before the end, probably my last paint purchase for the year. (Though not paint related as I may attempt to build my own paint rack and that will need supplies) As to my experience with the paint, I've had a few bottles which forced out medium the first few times I used them. Once they built up a little bit of space at the top for mixing the issue went away. The bottles really did act like they were overfilled.
knarthex
Something I have been doing when I set up the bottles for the first time, I drop in the split shot agitator and squeeze the bottle a little when I put the un pierced tip back. When I drill into the tip, the slight vaccum I made pulls any paint in the tip back into the bottle instead of all over my desk...8)George Edit: Someone said that there were issues with the printing on the labels becoming unlegible. To combat this, when I am doing my prep for a new bottle, I put clear tape once around the bottle over the name.... Teskal
Very often I have the issue that out of the bottle comes a clear liquid. I shaked the bottle very long with 1-2 agigator balls, but no difference. I haven;t had that happen with my Scale fantasy stuff, but I have it happen all the time with my Reaper HD paints. Is that with specific colors in the HD line? I haven't had that happen, if you are having issues with the HDs on a consistent bases then you should contact Reaper with a list of the colors that are giving you problems. I haven't had that experience with any of the HD paints although some of them are more opaque than others. It's pretty much any color I go to use. I shake it and shake it and the top is still seperated and clear comes out. It happened so much after I got them that I never use them. I used my other reaper paint way more and have no issues with that line. I got my HD paints a couple years ago, I think it was after they came out, I got the 2 case sets. Doesn't really matter at this point, I am really happy with my scale stuff and don't forsee buying any more paint anytime soon. Except that REaper is usually willing to work with you when there are issues with the paint. Quite frankly I reach for my HDs before I reach for the Scale 75s. With Reaper paints I have it seldom and long shaking helps normally. But with scalecolors I have it often. Sometimes I need to mix the color with the liquid stuff on the palette. Eventually I will write scale75 about this.

Sigh If you live in the US, there are a few other online stores that run sales that include SC75 paints. About once per month or so. Don't be discouraged. galladril
You'll have to let us know what you think of the F&G sets. You got it. :) Missed the sale. :( Got home, threw everything in my cart, went to check out and it said coupon cannot be redeemed. Sigh I would suggest emailing them **right now, so you have a date and time-stamp** and explain the situation, see if they can do anything for you. Worth a shot, right?

Magnum9
I went ahead & ordered a bunch of the sets from fantization, but I've heard sometimes they take a crazy long time to ship stuff. I actually needed enough extra stuff that I got a pretty close discount so, I'll let you know how it goes.
czebas
Something I found out tonight when using my NMM gold set is that the paints seem to not like to be overworked. I'm painting over a dark red primer and if I take them from the wet palette and spread them once in the correct direction they cover really well. However if you try to sort of distribute that layer once applied as I can with some other hobby paints they will get really textured and chunky. So even though the colors are well matched it can take me a little back and forth with the colors to get a satisfying gradient. I'm not sure if this is due to the age of my set (about 2 years old) or if this is just a characteristic of these paints.

My person experience is that once you apply the paint you can quickly do some two brush blending or something similar, but after that don't touch it until it looks completely matte. If you try and work too quickly the paint will tear, so I have to be more patient with it than my VGC. To clarify, each new layer seems to soften the previous layer and thus make it more susceptible to damage.
Willen
Those are some good tips; I also found out that some of these paints do not like being "overworked" as you say. They are also less covering than others; but for some applications when you apply a new layer / color over the previous one it "melds" into the previous layer, getting the transitions to disappear. I found this out particularly with the flesh set and the reds. They have also not produced any "coffee stain rings" yet, interesting... different propierties, you need to find its uses as with everything.
knarthex
... people saying it would be nice if you could tell what was in each SET, as you can't really tell from their site. I can help with this, as it was something I was trying to figure it out for myself a long time ago. Like you guys, I kinda hate that these are not easily viewable on their site pictures, or as a downloadable pamphlet or something, so this is the result of a lot of google searching, and a lot of excel documentation. :) I have not yet looked into their Fantasy line, so I don't have those listed yet (EDIT 9/1/2015 - They are now added to the end of this list). I have a feeling I might actually hold off on those, but, time will tell. My personal test with these will begin this weekend (and I already have 51 of them.) If my tests go as expected, I will probably be buying 3 more sets before the 15% off sale ends this month. By the way, be advised that their first SKU number is actually SC-00, not SC-01, though the order of the "sets" doesn't reflect that. As previously mentioned, white is the "repeated" set color, as it is included in NMM and B&W.
