Silvervane
I was looking to start making my own homemade washes. I have the inktinsity wash, but I was thinking about picking up some of the other inks as wall to test out. I would have started already but it seems every art store in my area was out of flow improver when I went to pick some up yesterday. 5 different stores and none. I got the matte medium no problem. Well I'll have to make a trek out next week, as several said it was coming in then. Going to use Les B's recipe? indeed I was. I typically use a RMS brush-on : water : paint/ink (3:3:1) approximate mix. But with doing zombicide mini using wash heavily I think premixing would be a good idea.
knarthex
I have used it, and I like it. Even bought a couple of Secret Weapon Washes that use the same recipe.

ub3r_n3rd
I have the set, wondered which specific colors.... Ahhh, you weren't very clear/concise in the question above, as you can see I misunderstood what you meant.
czebas
Hi. I used decay black base, ryleh grey, and miskatonic grey, and white. The feathers are ryleh gray black and white. I gave away my dark sea blue so ryleh gray is a good midtone.
Extrabio47
Okay, got the paint. Added an agitator (always get the mental image of a little bitty guy holding a protest sign). Shook the bottle. Shook the bottle some more. And some more. Shook the dickens out of the bottle. Uttered a string of profanity that the Merchant Marine would envy. Shook the bottle again.....and still get medium with a bit of pigment tossed in. Now my arm is too blasted tired to paint. So what am I doing wrong besides not shaking it enough? Squeeze out the excess medium, it sounds to me like you got one of the older bottles of paint that were overfilled with that medium. Then shake it up some more again, and it should be much better.
Willen
What ub3r said. AND try that trick of slamming the end of the bottle against your hand several times before shaking. It truly helps. Once I got rid of the medium in my "first generation" bottles they are working so fine, coming out great now, that I am surprised after the first times with it.
czebas
Here is an example of why i like decay black so much. It is very flat but also very transparent. With some water it's glaze like but black. You can do a couple glazes to get a very dark shadow that retains the base color. I used out to shade the nmm gold

What ratio are you thinning it at? and with what? I am using it on Takky now for the neck glazing.... Also, The tip on my Arctic Blue Split near the tip.... Don't really know why, unless the tip was clogged.... So I am going to start poking all the tips before I use them..... I did drill pretty small holes when I first got the unsealed tips, maybe that is why? They have not been outside or otherwise exposed to the elements.... tiniest rhombus
Shades off doom on feathers and sword. Such great colors. I love the shades of doom colors soooo much. I can wait to use them but I need to finish some stuff first. This looks awesome. What ub3r said. AND try that trick of slamming the end of the bottle against your hand several times before shaking. I didn't have the extra medium problem though. Here is an example of why i like decay black so much. It is very flat but also very transparent. With some water it's glaze like but black.
