Orc Rider Display

This is my first time posting stuff online. I am still fairly new to the miniatures hobby, but I dove in head first and started collecting and grabbing up all the minis (old and new that I could). This is my first big non-gaming use piece. I am still learning different terrain techniques, but I thought it would be a fun use of some old Kings of War white metal minis that I didn't plan to use for gaming.

Sorry I am not a great photographer. I am sure that is something I will get used to as I photograph more of my projects.

That really is a SPLENDID vignette...FINE bruswork & a BEAUTIFUL base. VERY WELL DONE!

The photos look good; AND they will get better with practice. Even I, with my ongoing struggle with the Camera od Continual Contrariness, have made come slow progress.

I have a decent SLR to shoot with, but the lighting is bad in my apartment, so I am often forced to add in some flash which really doesn't help show the pieces off. A few touch-ups in photoshop help, but I feel I am losing something in the color and detail department. I will continue to work on it. Thanks for the encouragement.

By "jump in head first" I think you mean "grab it by the horns and teach it how to dance". Your painting skill shines right through the little bit of flash glare.

Hah! I suppose it could be read that way. Though I meant it as he is a rider who is an orc. Orc being more of an adjective in this case. But good call.
