Grognard '80s Rock God Strikes!! (Accidentally)

I was informed a few moments ago, by a coworker, that the headphone jack on my computer must be malfunctioning, because everybody in our otherwise quiet office had been subjected to about an hour of Glenn Hughes singing his guts out on the little-known-yet-fantastic 1985 concept album Phenomena. (Whilst I rocked on, ignorant of the fact, earbuds in place.)

Just to sweeten the pot, it's a dark album with lyrics pertaining to terror, Hell, endless night, creatures coming out of the dark, and Old Scratch himself makes a couple of appearances.

I am unsure whether to celebrate this little gift I have given my office mates, or hide in embarrassment.

That said, in my heart, I understand that their lives have been made at least minutely better, by having dwelt for a few fleeting moments in Greatness.

Anybody else embarrass themselves totally in recent days?

Not in recent days but back in high school I was listening to Metallica's Ride the Lightning through my headphones in my room. Now my room was in the basement but it was right below my parent's bedroom. Little did I know I didn't switch the A & B input selectors on my Pioneer stereo. These inputs were used to select what channels you wanted your sound to go to. A main, B secondary. Headphones were on B, A was the main. I forgot to shut off A, which in turn I got to deal with a high irratated dad due to he didn't want to listen to my rock crap late at night.

Whoops!!

(sorry dad! :B):  :B): )

So on a submarine, pretty much the only space you have to yourself is your rack (bunk).  So alot of guy spend their off watch time there watching movies or playing games.  Out of courtesy for everyone else who may be sleeping, you use head phones (or that guy who has been up for the last day and a may break you and your entertainment device in two).

As the rack is the size of a coffin, sometimes moving around will cause the head phone jack to come out.  In which case the entire compartment can hear your choice of video games movies or, uhm..."recreational videos".

Not like anything like that ever happened to ME of course.

Of course. :poke:

I got noticed singing along with a Slayer song in the car this past Monday.

Although, considering that it was Slayer, I'm not sure if I was more embarrassed, or the person noticing was more terrified....
