Only X days, I hope! Having to strain updates through peering at the previews on Google Image Search lacks the entertainment value of bantering with the band...

 

You should find a way to get people to email them to you, or post links to the pics on sites that aren't blocked...

The latter would only work if they were posted to news sites - mobile news sites, at that. =/

 

Similarly, emailing them to me would have to go without the pictures - which defeats half the point. Bandwidth issues, or so they say...

The more additions to the core i want duplicates of, the more i consider going double-core.

I was tempted last time and ended up picking one up after things shipped second hand at a slight mark-up. I am very tempted to just order two the first time, this go around. It will be dependent on how much gets unlocked, though. Opportunity cost and all that.

 

My Dad is also in on this kickstart so we are pretty much getting 2 of everything,  Im not sure ho much painting he will do, he typically hands things off to me for the paint. At 70 years old he has trouble seeing to paint for long periods of time and his skills are not great, but he enjoys it.

I am curious if people tend to add things to their pledge when they are revealed or when they are achieved. I realize this may be anecdotal and skewed due to only asking forum members, but which do you do?

Base Pledge, I'll add more when I see the mini I'm waiting for, the 5 headed Dragon. I had hopped Reaper was going to lead with it, but sadly not.

I think it might be a mistake to make it a finale item, as there are likely a lot of people holding back waiting for something like that to post, and it could help drive buy-in. That said, if it wasn't a finale item, people would be expecting an even more impressive follow-up, and that might not be in the cards, so it's sort of a double-edged sword.

Maybe they'll reveal just before the 48 email reminder blast goes out to fuel the final frenzy. I agree that it shouldn't be a true finale since there wouldn't be time to feel it's full impact. I completely missed the "Thank You" add-on from Bones 2 since it came right at the very end.

At the latest, something like Tianot should be released before the 48 hour reminder email goes out and it should be plastered at the very top of the page to get as many eyeballs as possible when that email does go out.

I have been adding to my pledge as the SGs are revealed and they become available in the pledge calculator. Mostly I want to provide honest data points via the calculator to Reaper. And pledging as we go keeps me involved.

 

The only thing that is really holding me back is knowing that there is a LE KS coming up later this year and although I WANT to add more Orcs, Ogres, and Lizardmen, I would much rather get them in the LE KS. It's killing me not knowing what will be included in the LE KS. Or if figures unlocked in this campaign could be part of the LE campaign.

To give people an idea of savings for the kickstarter, would you guys be willing to put up your estimated 'MSRP' on the core and/or add-ons?  People probably realize they're getting a good deal, but I don't think they realize how good of a deal they're getting.

 

Might get people to pledge more.

That's an excellent idea. I remember back in Bones II, part of what really pushed me to up my pledge to include DDS was when forumites started commenting that it'd probably be around $100 retail. I liked the look of a lot of it, but I knew I'd never be able to do it for $100, so I went ahead and exceeded my budget by the $35 to make it happen.

This is exactly what I'm doing.  I'm going to chip in for extras and such, but not until I see Tianot.  She's kind of the lynch-pin of determining how much I'm going to spend and what all I'm going to get.

 

I wonder if it would be a good or bad idea to have her listed way in advance?  Like, Tianot is the stretch goal somewhere in the $2-3 million range and everyone is aware of that ahead of time.  This would give everyone an overall goal to shoot for--in addition to the incremental steps we're seeing currently with the stretch goals.  The intermediate stretch goals can still be secrets until we're close to revealing them, as is currently happening.
