Managed to go over 24 hours without unlocking a single stretch goal. That gives me a sad.

Yeah, I stopped checking the KS page. Just have to wait until they do the mid campaign slump boost Bryan was talking about. And the last 48 hours. They are always fun/crazy.

Wait till they show tianot. That is going to be when the minis hit the fan.

Monday was extra super-slow, but you never know, things might pick up today. Even if they don't, we're almost within 10k of the next stretch goal.

I think we're just bumping up to the limit of adding new people vs people waiting to see more.. we've also not had a lot of big add-ons for the last several goals.. I'm still not at half my total pledge with the stuff i want yet, so i can imagine those who don't pledge up front are holding a lot back

I'm still sitting here gobsmacked that people think Tianot is too small!

I generally agree with you, but I think that part of me understands where they're coming from.

When I imagine the classic dragon vs. adventurers scenario, the dragon is typically ginormous.  Not just large enough to hold an adventurer in its mouth, but able to easily swallow one in a single gulp - I'm talking its teeth being as long as Sir Forescale's sword.  In such as scenario, Tianot would be even larger.

Now, I recognize that that's just unlikely to happen.  A "miniature" that large would be incredibly impractical and difficult to design so that it wouldn't collapse under its own weight, not to mention likely prohibitively expensive even in bones.  I'm quite okay with the size of the colossal critters that Reaper's put out already (as I mentioned, their sheer size as it is makes them too intimidating for me to paint), but I can understand why some people might want something larger.

I have to admit, I'm really excited about eventually seeing the full model for Tianot, complete with Sir Forescale.

      Goblins!
So awhile back I was horrified to discover that some old un-finished minis had sprouted a strange orange mold. I gave them a deep clean and seemed to have solved the issue (spoiler: I did not and it's affecting nearly all my minis... but that's a problem for another time).

As a reward for enduring the cleaning, these goblins deserved to finally get painted.

      Goblin Command (77349)
First up are these two baddies from one of the Bones 2 expansion sets.

These guys, being earlier bones, are a bit on the rough side, and definitely out-of-scale with the others. But that does help them stand out a bit.

      Goblin Warriors (77444)
Next up, we have our "heavy hitters" from Bones 3.

I like these sculpts a lot better. There's a uniformity in the face structure, while still having individuality between models.

      Goblin Skirmishers (77445)
The final batch of wimpier goblins from Bones 3.

These guys are the mookiest of mooks. Poorly armed, and poorly armored. These are the guys that get sent in first to soak up some arrows.

It's nice to finally have some painted goblins. Though my bag full of 50+ more unpainted goblins still taunts me.  I have plans to paint them in a few different shades from the yellow-green used here, to a fleshy yellow-tan, to a pale fleshy-grey.  Hopefully that'll break up the duplicates and add some variety.  But that's a future project.

After painting all these guys up I am tempted to finish the set with the Goblin Honor Guard.  They're the only ones I don't have. I can't see myself getting much use out of them, as they're a bit more situational or decorative than practical. But my completionist brain says I need them.

Reaper has so many incredible and different goblin sculpts.  Which ones are your favorites?

And a third NPC - his day job is boatswain, so I wanted the armor to not be full plate.... he's currently helping the party do a fetch quest for the captain. I'm pretty satisfied with what I got out for what I put in - but I do notice I seem to have forgotten his eyebrows!

      From Bones 3: Gug

"It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally."
