Haha, I was feeling so-so about the behir until some folks started calling it an Oriental dragon.  OK, I'm on board with that. I have no use for a behir, but I'd love to paint up a cool oriental dragon.  :)

I love that succubus figure. (And I'd love her even more in metal) Too bad she's bundled with 10+ other figures I really don't want or need. I was going to buy, like, 4 of her.

I know you know, but: Retail is a thing. ::):

And like many other figures released first in Bones, she will likely follow in pewter.

Having just finished painting Ursula on her bear from Bones II, and realizing there's a pewter version of her, I'm glad that a dire bear mini is coming out, so I can represent that awesome dwarf both mounted and unmounted with her bear by her side.

Not sure about that Weremadillo, but I like how beefy the minotaur is.

I just used the Bear Cub from Bones II Core.

This sounds like a problem eBay (or Retail) could solve. Edited by ladystorm

For those who were in Bones 2, I have two questions:

1 -  Will the slowdowns to the core set (dividing the unlocks between three categories instead of two) be offset by the additional pledges from the expansion?

2 - Will the expansions be available as extra options the way the core set is (IE - buy just the orcs, just the Chill Out, etc)?

I'm not being negative here, just trying to get a handle on what to expect.  I'm poor folk.  I'm having to pull all sorts of strings to afford the core set and maybe an option or two.  Expansions aren't going to happen for me. It would be disappointing if most of the cool miniatures going forward were unavailable.

Remember, as long as you pledge, you've got up to the time things are put on a boat to add things to your pledge. So if you see an expansion you like, you've realistically got a year or more to save up for it. The only downside is it doesn't help unlock stretch goals. But that's what I'm going to have to do for a bunch of stuff as well. The ability to do that will probably result in me getting a significant amount more than I would have otherwise,

That twig-blight makes me want a few dozen of them so I can run "The Sunless Citadel"...

I'm started the sunless citadel on Friday with a new group. Desperately trying to get the dungeon built, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to delay a bit, err I mean random encounter on the way there.

So awhile back I was horrified to discover that some old un-finished minis had sprouted a strange orange mold. I gave them a deep clean and seemed to have solved the issue (spoiler: I did not and it's affecting nearly all my minis... but that's a problem for another time).

As a reward for enduring the cleaning, these goblins deserved to finally get painted.

      Goblin Command (77349)
First up are these two baddies from one of the Bones 2 expansion sets.

These guys, being earlier bones, are a bit on the rough side, and definitely out-of-scale with the others. But that does help them stand out a bit.

      Goblin Warriors (77444)
Next up, we have our "heavy hitters" from Bones 3.

I like these sculpts a lot better. There's a uniformity in the face structure, while still having individuality between models.
      More Photos Below Spoiler:
      Goblin Skirmishers (77445)
The final batch of wimpier goblins from Bones 3.

These guys are the mookiest of mooks. Poorly armed, and poorly armored. These are the guys that get sent in first to soak up some arrows.

It's nice to finally have some painted goblins. Though my bag full of 50+ more unpainted goblins still taunts me.  I have plans to paint them in a few different shades from the yellow-green used here, to a fleshy yellow-tan, to a pale fleshy-grey.  Hopefully that'll break up the duplicates and add some variety.  But that's a future project.
After painting all these guys up I am tempted to finish the set with the Goblin Honor Guard.  They're the only ones I don't have. I can't see myself getting much use out of them, as they're a bit more situational or decorative than practical. But my completionist brain says I need them.

Reaper has so many incredible and different goblin sculpts.  Which ones are your favorites?

And a third NPC - his day job is boatswain, so I wanted the armor to not be full plate.... he's currently helping the party do a fetch quest for the captain. I'm pretty satisfied with what I got out for what I put in - but I do notice I seem to have forgotten his eyebrows!

      From Bones 3: Gug

"It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally."
