Bones Kickstarter #3 Discussion

I have a question - How will the bones from the kickstarter be packaged? Will they be in packaging like current Bones are sold in stores? The reason I ask is because I like to save the tops of the packages, with the names and numbers, so that later I know what I've got.

Most of the KS Bones come in plastic bags, grouped together, not individually marked.  Certain large models come in their own boxes.  Determining if you received everything you ordered is a non-trivial exercise, but kind of fun.

Small request for Talae/David: Would it be possible to have one more average calculation added? Averages based on the last 24 hour period.

 

I love seeing the "avg hours until funded" and such, but as you state yourself, the wee hours of the day are a little skewed. And not just that, certain time frames will be more susceptible to an increase/decrease in backers or funds. I think, being not as mathemagically endowed, that the last 24 hour window would produce a good number.

Kicktraq is the tool you're looking for.

 

It gives us daily results and averages. Though the extrapolated trends don't really work for the way Reaper plans the end of the pledge period.

 

 

Kicktraq isn't bad, but it isn't good. The spreadsheet isn't really easily set up for tracking things on a 24 hour basis, but with a little tweaking, I've got this:

No, the labor to package them into blister cards would require the KS Prices to be higher.

Happy to see Tre's Oni finally see the light of day.  Also happy to see some kitsune that I hope will be out in metal, which is when I'll buy them.

Packaging rewards into blisters would also add on quite a delay in fulfillment given that they have been slowly packaging the retail stock from Bones 2 over the last few months.  I really don't want to wait any more than I have!  :)  If you just want an ID tag to keep track of what's what, usually someone makes a spreadsheet for inventory purposes, if you printed a couple of hard copies then you could cut out the name & sku to store with them. 

 

Speaking of which, I really need to set up a miniature storage system, my Bones 1 & 2 goodies are sort of in a giant heap.

Canadutchian's asking for something slightly different than what Kicktraq offers. There's no magic that happens at 0:00 or 10:00 or any particular time since the Kickstarter is global. A 24-hour trailing average is going to be more relevant than an average that resets to zero every day.

Does anybody know if there's any place that I can get a miniature guitar sized for the Kaiju Titan?  The more that I look at him, the more I think that he looks like he's performing at a heavy metal concert.

I was originally thinking of painting him like a Quetzal, but now I'm considering more of a black motif, with something looking like facepaint on the skull.

Mierce has a large miniature that wields a guitar. It's from their BaneLords line, called Belech, Axeman of Omens. With most of their older minis, you can order components (rather than the entire mini). I don't currently see that option in this particular case, but maybe you could inquire.

1) I don't really know if the size would be right.

2) It's Mierce resin, so it might cost more than you'd like, especially considering shipping (depending on where you're located).
