OK, so far Im liking expansion 1....

 

However, I must give my honest critique. I know I may sound picky but bear with me.

 

The Iron Golem in the concept art. For the most part is fine I like the pose etc. There is just one thing that bothers me and that's its head. I don't like the eyes holes on one side and the mouth holes on the other. When it comes to an iron golem there should be symmetry. Since its at the concept art stage I hope you will consider a small change. Just my thoughts

Ooh. Lovecraftian horrors. That could be amusing to paint, although I'm not sure if I think we need her.. (is it a bad thing if you /need/ a Lovecraftian horror?)

More golem is always good - there never seem to be enough of those. It's not so much that they're hard to find, but there are always those fun niche things that you never have one of when you need one. And if the sculpts match up to the concept sketches... *rubbing hands together* oooh... so exciting!

 

 .. hm. Speaking of niche things that you never have one of, given that Reaper's got Paizo's okay, any chance of us seeing a Tatzlwyrm on the list any time soon? Or any of their other unique monsters? I remember seeing some from Numenera in Bones II, so it seems not wholly unlikely..?

I'm totally meh on the 3rd wave of expansion 1, but since I am already so stoked at the first 2 waves, I have no complaints. I figure reaper is keeping the things that really will appeal to me separate, so they cam put them into one or more of the other expansions. XD

Are these the first Merrow and Vegepygmies to actually see miniature form?

Vegepygmies were promised in the Tome of Horror kickstarters and got to the sculpt stage, but it's anyone's guess as to whether or not they'll ever actually be released. As for merrows Pathfinder battles had a bog giant which is to merrows as hill giants are to ogres. So kinda on both counts,

 

 

Mmm, I knew of the Tome of Horrors one but can't really count that, as it seems unlikely (sadly) they'll ever get released.

 

Funny enough, I was thinking the Merrow would be a great companion to that Marsh Giant!  I'm still hoping they do a minis set based off "Giantslayer", they have some great Giant characters in that one.

 

And that's as off Bones as I'll get.

See, I actually like that bit of asymmetry.  It helps mark it apart from just being a bit suit of armor.

See, I actually like that bit of asymmetry.  It helps mark it apart from just being a bit suit of armor.

 

I would argue that with modification it would be easier to make something asymmetrical out of something symmetrical. Than it would be the reverse.
