Ron said it is not representing dhole. I think we can take that as meaning not in Exp2...maybe.

On the other hand, how much would something that big cost at retail compared to getting an expansion with a whole bunch of other stuff?

Considering that tentacle goat monster changed to $15, and is probably the same or a little less Bones mass than it....Thinking $25 option....maybe 60 retail. Worse case scenario. Far too large to be in an exp with other stuff.

The amount of plastic is pretty trivial for injection moulding if I'm not mistaken, what is more important is the cost of tooling the mould - how many pieces, how much room those pieces take up. With all of those tentacles, Shub Niggurath probably has a lot of pieces to be moulded, whereas the worm looks like it could be much less complicated.

By way of example, notice how the current purple worm is the same price as the recently released Pathfinder characters, despite its larger size.

Point well made. Using the Reapercon pictures it would seem that there would be a base, the main body, and then its grasping...claws?? Also looks like its head is a separate piece from the main body. Still worst case its $20+. I guess Ill get it at $15 but would really prefer $10. From teh first picture, though its blurry. It does appear the underbelly is separated from the carapace.

I love the mythical monsters. Given that we still have a few days to the end, I am starting to worry a bit about my budget.

Anyone have any idea what the dwarf king might cost retail?  I'd like 2 thrones, and thinking probably about a wash just to get an extra set of that now instead of waiting to buy later.

I'm absolutely in love with the sphinx and manticore, although I'm not sure what I'd do with them...  (I mean, other than paint them.)  The larger integral bases for the big guys are a nice improvement that they can pull off in Bones.

I love the Manitcore's pose, nice and threatening.  The Sphinx looks cool too, neither too threatening, nor friendly. Hovering somewhere between the two.

Wow, she's beautiful!!

 

The sphinx and manticore come with separate, sizeable terrain bases.

 

Plus also they are drop dead gorgeous. Julie Guthrie did a magnificent job with them. The sphinx is beautiful, soft-faced and catlike with gigantic, easy-to-paint eyes and some of the best feathered wings I have ever seen. The manticore is spiky, vile and malevolent-looking, lean and dangerous and snarling.

 

They are a beautiful, beautiful pair of desert monsters. What a great reveal!

I am a little disappointed this morning.  the "Western Wizard of OZ" minis don't do much for me. They are cool but I guess at this point in the campaign I was hoping for something more.  I do really like the sphynx and Mantacore and will definately get them.  I was hoping that part 3 of mythos would be relvealed or a third expansions set, as I really think I am passing on Mythos. I am also disappointed that we have not seen any additional weapons sprues or bonuses like that for a few days.

 

I am happy with the pace the funding is growing as we are approaching the end. a lot of new characters on the map, hope that mean we unlock a lot more goals in the net 4 days.
