Bones Kickstarter #3 Discussion

I was under the impression Reaper was not going to unlock stuff early and only if goals were reached. That was what was snowballing my fear. Especially with a slow moving money counter and a faster moving countdown clock.....fear of the unknown here...Reaper knows what is going on. No one else does.

No worries. We have some experience making the final 3 days exciting, even if the preceding days were slow.

You've definitely dipped into the Kickstarter prestige class for a few levels at this point, haven't you? :-D  Looking forward to a wild and exciting ride to Saturday!!

mmm...  coordinating graphics (or photos) can be a very big pain. Then add on top of that, "Be sure to stick this figure in with the green (or master, or concept, or digital render) when you take the picture." can be a bit frustrating. I don't think Bryan is the one who is always taking the initial photos. Then there could be some figures aren't on site to take photos of, it could be the green has been sent off to get scanned, or mastered, or already in China for mold cutting.  No one really knows but Bryan and the Reaper peps. I am sure there are bigger priorities than having to digitally insert Sir Just in Fore Scale.

Oh, I won't do a digital insert. If he's not physically in the shot so that the scale is 100% accurate, i won't add him in. Even when he's not touching the base figure, he was in that spot and the only retouching I do other than recolor to look whitish is to erase the background. So if he's in an image, he was standing exactly there when the photo was shot.

I was informed that 3 months have passed since my buddy started up here developing along side me.  REFERRAL $$$!!  Next goal next goal!!!  I am not going to worry about my pledge amount now and will up it a bit. Good news is always welcome when it comes to money. :)

Everybody's freaking out about it being "slow" and I just don't get it. Last week we were doing 40K a day and we're up by over half of that, and we haven't even shown the big stuff that'll be worth a pretty big push.

I'm not freaking out over 'slow'.

I'm freaking out about the lack of hobgoblins.

I personally try to think of the scale reference figure as a "best estimate".  It's nice to know that you don't digitally insert. I figured there may be some margin for scale in the cutting of the molds, cast shrink. And you never know when there could be errors in the process somewhere. That way when they turn out physically as shown in the graphics it's nice. But if they turn out a bit off, (not that I expect they would with Reaper's stellar products) I can live with some variation.

Could we have a pic with sir Forscale and the sphinx and manticore. I would like to evaluate how big they are.

+1 for Sir Forscale. He's was missing and had to be added into so many of the early reveals. I thought by this point he would be in all of the larger monster pics. He's a servant of the people.

We can't add him t the pic if we built the art from a photograph of the green, whereas we can add it if we have the model already. We include wherever possible but sometimes we just can't at the same time as when we post the model.

Time to mail out SirForscales to every Reaper sculptor!

Oh, man, the Steampunk Oz set is going into Bones?

I bought 'em after talking to Bob and Julie last year, so I don't need another set... but I have this horrible feeling I'm going to be painting more'n a few as gifts...
