Bones Kickstarter #3 Discussion

I guess I just worry about needing to get my foot in the door to avoid a price increase like with Bones 1.

I got the same deal with Bones 2, but I don't remember if latecomers had to pay more or not.

If you do not back this project through Kickstarter before it ends, you are considered a Late Backer and WILL pay a higher price.

We did this with every one of our previous three Kickstarters.

The only way to get these bargain prices is to back this project through Kickstarter.

Oh, I'm already registered as a backer. I guess it keeps you in the system.

https://ks.reapermini.com/bones3/

I added a $15 option. That should cover it.  :D

Remember to also add any increases on Kickstarter itself. Just adding something to the pledge manager doesn't increase your pledge on Kickstarter. ::):

$1.73M goal achieved! Armory of Vice and Mythos part III unlocked.

It has been a busy night.

New goals revealed at $1.9M

Back by popular demand, everyone's shockingly favorite lighting rod sponsor:

I wouldn't have thought it possible, but after Bones 3, I believe I will have entered the "I have enough dragons" category.

I'm just as surprised as you! But seeing Bryan's latest pictures of Ma'al and Co. makes me realize even more that I have to store all of those beautiful beasties.

I think Stormwing was the last "classic" dragon we were waiting for from the Reaper catalog.  I'm very happy that it has made an appearance.

This KS has really added a lot of variety to their Bones line.  My only hope is that some more of those great sci-fi figures from ReaerCon make it to the stage.  What I'm REALLY glad for is that we can add more money after the KS is over.  I'm in for over $400 already but don't think it is wise to add more at this time.  I have a convention this weekend and GenCon next week.  Considering how poor the exchange rate is with the USD, I think I will wait to contribute more in a few months.  I don't feel too bad since my pledge is currently more than double the average.

Ahem, Gauth and T'Raukzul. Maybe classic Kaladrax.

And I also realized the $CAN is not in our favor these days. Enough to make me reconsider Ma'al (heresy, I know) and its huge shipping cost.

Once it hits full price retail, assuming we still have free shipping to Canada, it may be cheaper to wait.

Man, shipping math can be really interesting...

So, Kaladrax the Ginormous is $75 dollars retail. Think about how expensive Tianot is going to be. I realize that $60 seems like a lot to a lot of people, but it seems to me that it's a pretty substantial deal. I guess I better go ahead and start shopping around for a new airbrush.

For ROW pledgers, it's another ballgame.

Including shipping, current exchange rate, taxes/duties, Ma'al will cost me over $150CND. It is quite possible I'll get if for cheaper by paying full price during a visit to RCon.

Possibly, but not for sure.

Yes, our Pledge Manager tool does retain information from one project to the next, but that does not make you a Backer for this project.

If you do not make a pledge on Kickstarter, not with our Pledge Manager tool, but through the actual Kickstarter Site back this project button, you are not a Project Backer.

Using our Pledge Manager (Pledge Calculator) alone does not back the project.  If you haven't backed the project with the the actual Kickstarter Site back this project button, you are not a Project Backer.

Oh my word...!  Graveyard expansion, Hobgbageddon, Colossal Worm, and Tianot all in the same reveal?!?!!

Is the world shaking?!  Is it just me?!?!  Can the internet handle this?!!?

*passes out*

They need to get all those visible before Thursday 5:00 RTZ (reaper time zone) when the 48 hour emails go out.  Don't want anyone checking back and not seeing the wowwtfhsfmitewac!!!!! minis to grab their attention.

All the beautiful dragons! Yay! *happy dance!* :bday:

Oh yes, by the time the boats hit the water, Hubby and I plan on having bought everything we want. Starting with the 5-Headed Goddess (you can say what you want, in our house, she's a she). ^_^

Unless I missed something, I think that Gauth remains un-bonesified.

There is still time...

(Although it's also possible that Gauth is simply too big to Bonesify with only two feet in contact with the base. To my knowledge, Reaper has never said.)

When adding to a pledge after the kickstarter has ended, will I need to do a new pledge calculation or will my current pledge be counted as credit on an updated pledge calculation? I am tapped out for now, but before first wave is shipped I should be able to buy more bones. Actually I am tapped out because I want to buy more bones when the July release of bones 2 stuff hits retail.

Here is all that I finished in March - one undead archer - the bowman from Bones 3 undying heros. Paining a giant took the rest of my time... In any case, he was kind of a quick diversion, just so I could get the satisfaction of a finished mini - always can use more undead archers!

      Goblins!
So awhile back I was horrified to discover that some old un-finished minis had sprouted a strange orange mold. I gave them a deep clean and seemed to have solved the issue (spoiler: I did not and it's affecting nearly all my minis... but that's a problem for another time).

As a reward for enduring the cleaning, these goblins deserved to finally get painted.

      Goblin Command (77349)
First up are these two baddies from one of the Bones 2 expansion sets.

These guys, being earlier bones, are a bit on the rough side, and definitely out-of-scale with the others. But that does help them stand out a bit.

      More Photos Below the Spoiler:

      Goblin Warriors (77444)
Next up, we have our "heavy hitters" from Bones 3.

I like these sculpts a lot better. There's a uniformity in the face structure, while still having individuality between models.

      More Photos Below Spoiler:

      Goblin Skirmishers (77445)
The final batch of wimpier goblins from Bones 3.

These guys are the mookiest of mooks. Poorly armed, and poorly armored. These are the guys that get sent in first to soak up some arrows.

      More Photos Below Spoiler:

It's nice to finally have some painted goblins. Though my bag full of 50+ more unpainted goblins still taunts me.  I have plans to paint them in a few different shades from the yellow-green used here, to a fleshy yellow-tan, to a pale fleshy-grey.  Hopefully that'll break up the duplicates and add some variety.  But that's a future project.

After painting all these guys up I am tempted to finish the set with the Goblin Honor Guard.  They're the only ones I don't have. I can't see myself getting much use out of them, as they're a bit more situational or decorative than practical. But my completionist brain says I need them.

Reaper has so many incredible and different goblin sculpts.  Which ones are your favorites?

And a third NPC - his day job is boatswain, so I wanted the armor to not be full plate.... he's currently helping the party do a fetch quest for the captain. I'm pretty satisfied with what I got out for what I put in - but I do notice I seem to have forgotten his eyebrows!
