I was, at first, off put by the $60 price tag of 'Tianot' but once the size comparison of it and Dragons Don't Share 2 was posted I feel it is more than worth it!  That an I can see her going for $150+ at retail so better to get her now than later!

I think Stormwing was the last "classic" dragon we were waiting for from the Reaper catalog.  I'm very happy that it has made an appearance.

Unless I missed something, I think that Gauth remains un-bonesified.

There is still time...

(Although it's also possible that Gauth is simply too big to Bonesify with only two feet in contact with the base. To my knowledge, Reaper has never said.)

Correct.  And it looks like I missed T'Raukzul when looking over the classic dragons not yet in Bones.  At least, I don't see him in the store or previews.

I'm OK with not all of the classic dragons making it to Bones, especially if it's already likely that they'll have the too-little-contact problems seen with Deathsleet and Verocithrax.  (T'Raukzul might be OK if the tail were attached to the integrated base.)

This KS has really added a lot of variety to their Bones line.  My only hope is that some more of those great sci-fi figures from ReaerCon make it to the stage.  What I'm REALLY glad for is that we can add more money after the KS is over.  I'm in for over $400 already but don't think it is wise to add more at this time.  I have a convention this weekend and GenCon next week.  Considering how poor the exchange rate is with the USD, I think I will wait to contribute more in a few months.  I don't feel too bad since my pledge is currently more than double the average.

Ahem, Gauth and T'Raukzul. Maybe classic Kaladrax.

And I also realized the $CAN is not in our favor these days. Enough to make me reconsider Ma'al (heresy, I know) and its huge shipping cost.

Once it hits full price retail, assuming we still have free shipping to Canada, it may be cheaper to wait.

Having just upped my pledge, I am a very conscious that I can't afford to have this stuff shipped to Canada.  Same for DF stuff.   I have it all shipped to my best bud down in the US and then I practice zen like patience (sometimes up to six months) until either he visits me or I visit him.

I have learned a lot about how patient I can actually be.

This is what a lot of ROW pledgers need. A friend or relative in the US, and frequent visits.

I am very interested to see the next two parts of expansion #3. Will it be terrain? Will it be that graveyard golem? Will there be fancy skeletons? How about a big bell?

Fascinating.

Fancy skeletons? Will they have a top hat and monacle?

Well, any kind of circus could erupt on the last day.

That being said, I very much hope it passes 2 and a quarter mill. If I can't add Tianot, I won't be a happy camper.

There is also the choice of sending the package to a friendly Store near the border. You then pick it up there when it arrives. Example of that is shipping shops in Massena NY or UPS.Store close to the Border. They charge you about 5$ per box per week to keep it.

So, Kaladrax the Ginormous is $75 dollars retail. Think about how expensive Tianot is going to be. I realize that $60 seems like a lot to a lot of people, but it seems to me that it's a pretty substantial deal. I guess I better go ahead and start shopping around for a new airbrush.

For ROW pledgers, it's another ballgame.

Including shipping, current exchange rate, taxes/duties, Ma'al will cost me over $150CND. It is quite possible I'll get if for cheaper by paying full price during a visit to RCon.

Yes, that is possible. Ma'aldrakar kicks you up to a much larger box and a not inconsiderable amount of weight over just a Core Set and a few smaller add-ons. However, the more things you buy, the more likely it is that you'll end up with that bigger box with or without him.

Even if you take off the wings, he is still the same size as a football*.  and 60$ is a reasonable price for a footbal sized model.

My question is still do I need a model the size of a football?

I think I will pledge for all the other stuff I want then, may add on Mal in the post campaign, when I finally make a decision.

I may also try painting just the dragon from DDS2 in 5-7 days as practice run.

*American.  ROW footballs harder to compare.

It's interesting when you start getting close to the point when you need a larger box.  For example, if I just add Goremaw to my pledge, shipping goes up by $2.  If I just add Ma'aldrakar, it goes up by about $20.  If I add them both, I'm at what I assume is the level that requires a larger box and the shipping goes up by $50.

Sadly, this is going to mean that I won't be getting Ma'aldrakar after all.  Honestly, I doubt that he ever would have gotten painted anyhow, but if through some miracle I actually finish off my other big minis like Khanjira I'll happily pay full price for multi-headed dragon goodness.
