Bones Kickstarter #3 Discussion

Recommended Posts

I think we should've had a poll for what weapons were the coolest out of Reaper's minis.

Really liking all these weapons bits. I'm in for 2 of all the sets except the first one.

I figure $2 per set and I can get 2 of each of those sets, the armory is what.. $4 per set? They are very generic weapons and I have lots of generic metal weapons so I don't need more of those than the one set.

Pikers. I'm in for 31 of the first set right now - but I don't have a bits box. I can understand more established painters and collectors not wanting them but for me? I love them.

Also, Mouselings in Space are an instant $10 pledge for me, if only because the reaction from the space grognards is going to be so delicious.

That moment when you realize that the dragonborn/reptus/half-orc/lycan/pixie/construct/mini-treant character minis you desire are apparently more niche than Space Mouslings...

But seriously, congratulations to all fans of both mouslings and space!

If they are old enough to be grognards, they are old enough to remember when WarHammer 40K was a satirical game.

Just in case you aren't exaggerating, you do know you can get a max of 10, right?

      From Bones 3: Gug

"It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally."

      From Bones 3, the Werearmadillo

Obviously, lycanthropy has spread too far...and this is a reminder that Reaper are from Texas, where armadillos are native and as I understand it, seen as pests. I would really like to know how the sales figures for this model compares to other lycanthropes.

I have a series of vignette's I'm planning that all feature ogres in amusing scenes with townsfolk. The first of this series is here.
With this one I imagined the young milk maid is taking her boyfriend home to meet the parents for the first time. The boyfriend, wanting to put on a good first impression has worn his best striped collar and matching belt, as well as brought his best skulls.
He's a bit nervous so she's trying to reassure him. "Don't worry... Mom is going to love you."
She doesn't say anything about dad, though...
Any critique and criticism is always welcome.
