Well I had to use google because I was worried that I'd be calling OneBoot a flat fish soooooo.

Be careful.  You're starting to flounder a bit.

Is anyone else excited to see so much love for Reaper's Warlord Miniature game in this kickstarter?  The new sculpts for the Orcs of Kargir will go nicely with the Orc force I started with the exising Bones figures and I be able to field an army completely made of Bones figures.  The Crusaders already had a lot of characters made in earlier Bones releases including Duke Gerard, but they needed more soldiers.  Not only are we getting some Crusaders, but brand new sculpts!   Finally, Icingstead is getting both Yetis and Ice Giants!  With their main characters already made in Bones, they went from a very expensive army to build in metal to a very cheap army to build!

Note: several of the large figure pictures have been updated with Sir Forscale in them for...well, for scale. Namely, the dragons and the Frost Giants.

Would be nice to get a specific idea of what the gaps in the SGs will look like from a $$ amount or at least general notion as to what to expect

@Michael Lawler - we do not traditionally release that information. What I can say is that they start dropping in size very soon and stay under the current size for some time.

So I notice that Mrs Bones is ah, Killing the Heroes as well as the monsters?

@Catlike Games - In my head canon the heroes are mercenaries hired to kill her and her husband, under the mistaken impression that they are vile undead, instead of deathless aspects of fate.

To everyone complaining that it seems "slow" - we're almost at $100,000 for the day. that's REALLY GOOD. Not every day can be Day One, the slow days give us (Reaper) a chance to adjust, listen, and respond to backer requests. This is when we move levels around - on busy days the plan is fixed and you get what's planned. I know it's hard, but really $94,000 (and not done yet!) is nothing to laugh at.

We are not moving at yesterdays pace, but we never expected to.

@talae - sometimes it's hard to make the reward match the monster shown. We occasionally abstract. In this case, think of Bonehenge as a transformer that when dug up, attacks Mrs Bones...

is it bad that I want the ladybones 8-bit videogame?

@Kirk Foote - we might have something to make you happy soon, then. ;)

@Reaper

WUT

WUT

BONES VIDYAGAME

WUT

@Aard Rinn - who said that? Did I say that?

@reaper: is the calculated shipping cost indicated on the pledge calculator accurate? if yes can i add that shipping amount to my KS pledge amount already, so i dont have to do it later on?

@Rad - it's pretty darn accurate. You may add it now or later, if you add it now, it will count towards the total for unlocks.

@Christopher Grimwade - if our calculator comes up having charged you less than actual shipping, we will not bill you for more. Across over 3,000 international backers last year, we collected within $65 of the correct amount to cover all f their shipping, so I'd say it's pretty accurate.

@GK - We're working to expand our selection of the hard styrene bases, for use in rebasing larger things, although I doubt we can ever do a styrene base big enough for Khanjira...

@Major Girot - The new giants are ~3.5" tall. they are closer to how big most monster books say they should be than the originals.

My Group:

Bones I - Three out of Six Backed

Bones II - Four out of Five Backed

Bones III - Four out of Four Backing

Sounds like an ad: 4 out of 4 gamers back Reaper Bones!

My first reaction was "why is his gamer group shrinking? That's sad."

Let us also not forget that Queen Tianot has not yet shown herself in her full glory.  Surely there will be a surge of admirers coming to the project to pay her homage at her evil throne.

That's why I hope she appears sooner rather than later. I'd love to see her pop up on Friday (10th or 17th) to help boost weekend pledges, since they're traditionally slower pledge days.

You know I only plan to pledge for that mini. I am more of a scifi person.  But I want that one.

If I recall correctly, the first 2 Bones KSs unlocked 1 SG a day during the "slow days". So I think KS3 is running right on par for this early in the game. At any rate, I am enjoying it very much.

Okay, sorry for all the long posts, but there's been a lot of good questions asked and answered since yesterday. Should only be one more update post after this one.

As always, bolded emphasis is added by me. :)

Also, forgot to say that from top to bottom, the quotes are actually moving backwards in time (much easier for me to do it that way).

Anyone know based on past Bones KS's if there will be more paint sets offered?

@Vegascat, I cannot tell you which day, but it will be coming up in the next few days.

the pledge calculator doesn't ended up with the kickstarter pledge amount and reward option until the end of this right?

@James Roberts - correct. We do not know what your actual pledge amount is for about 3 weeks after this ends, so at the moment it is merely a calculator tool for your reference.

If i wanted 20 goblin sets, could I get 10 with my initial pledge and then come back on the dollar menu and order 10 goblin sets separate?

@AEVB - you need a second kickstarter account to order more than 10 of any single reward.

has it been confirmed that we will be able to add funds after the campaign ends to the Pledge Manager?

@Galladril - Yes. you will be able to add funds later. Bear in mind however that those funds do not count towards unlocking new goals.

@Reaper Miniatures - For international backers, we need to pledge the cost for shipping before the campaing ends or we can pay that later after the campaign ends?

@Glenn - whichever works best for your budget. If you add shipping now, however, those dollars are counted towards unlocking more Stretch goals.

Regarding froghemoth...

@Melissa - Froghemoth is a giant vaguely amphibian tentacled beastie form Necromancer Games that some of our fans have convinced themselves is coming and they continue to ask for it. It is not Reaper IP, and is unlikely to be produced, but this fact has not dampened their enthusiasm.

@Reaper - For shipping to Canada, can you ship it as "A Gift" or as "Parts"?

@Lee Bannister, we risk losing our legal right to export if we mark the packages in any manner inconsistent with international law and local regulations.

@Reaper Do you have any thoughts on the idea of a "Time Reveal" instead of a traditional stretch goal - with a countdown clock and stuff?

@Becky rose - we do that kind of thing closer to the end.

@Ian van Beers - Shipping to Canada is Actual postage. We can offer free shipping from our website because the prices are at full retail, and we take that out of our profits. These prices are significantly under retail, and very little to no profit is built in (we will make profits at retail later), so there is no profit for us to surrender to subsidize shipping.

Bah, ran into the quote limit again. Okay, next post will be the last one for sure; nearly caught up to when Reaper first got on this morning. Good thing too, I'm going a bit cross-eyed, lol.

Wow, the gaps are getting even bigger between SGs..

@Michael Lawler - $75,000 is as big as they get for a while.

And the general rule of thumb is that they should be 10% of what's already achieved. By $1,000,000 the *should* be $100,000 but they won't be.

I think when we said they'd get smaller when things slowed down, people thought we meant "slowed down at all" which is not true. Some slow down is inevitable. We're talking about the really slow days where we average 20-30K per day slow.

There were some $20,000 days in the middle weeks of Bones II. Slowdowns are normal and expected. We'll begin shortening the goals soon to make them easier to achieve.

Yeah the wait is killing me too...was sad to wakeup and only see that one stretch had been unlocked since yesterday evening.

@Brian Ingram - to be honest, One goal a day is normal for days that are not the first day or the last day. There is almost no way to keep the project from experiencing swings in momentum, this is not unexpected. We've made over $68,000 so far today, and that's actually quite good. many projects never even make that much.

@Philip D'Hollander - It is likely that internationals will all ship together, and Wave order will matter only for cohesion within that subset. However, there is a lot, situationally, that can change between now and August 2016, which might change how we are doing that.

We're very big on Cthulhu Mythos things. I would suspect a high probability of Chthonian things.

@Josh - Sir Forscale is available in Bones as part number 77008 and has been available since 2011. He is $1.99 on our website.

@reaper - are there going to be victims to go with the torture chamber? or is it more of a museum piece?

@Daniel S - Victims are nor yet revealed as a goal

Regarding bases - the bases shown in the pictures are almost always placeholders. We will get basing requirements from our engineers in mold making, and will usually sculpt a simple earth or foliage base to suit the needs.

@Reaper Any chance of Chronoscope type mini's finding their way in?

@Hewster - we have always supported all of our lines in our Kickstarters. It is very likely that Chronoscope models will find their way in

@Jerome Lambert - we maintain our own Pledge calculator, which is linked not he Campaign tab of this project, and at ks.reapermini.com/bones3 We get real time tracking data on the popularity of the rewards offered though this project from that, which helps us schedule future goals, removing ones deemed too similar to unpopular rewards, and adding ones similar to popular rewards. We genuinely prefer people use ours

Will this kick-starter have $50 expansion sets like bones 2?

@Beardy Nerd - those remain a possible Goal for the future, yes. There's still 17 days to go, and we have a ton of things we're anticipating for that time!

Oh, heh, looks like I was actually just a couple quotes over.

I would, however, like to know if its possible that there will come more elementals like the flame ones in the first kickstarter? I really liked those, and would love some more "feminine" elementals, like Air and Water.

@Thomas - we have certainly not exhausted the possibilities with the Elementals, and are very likely to include more in the future.

@Dan - flight stands were developed for our CAV project, and while they might see release in retail, I do not anticipate seeing them as part of this project. That might change if we determine that there is need for them.

@Reaper any possibility of superhero type minis in this campaign.

@Ryan Blackstock - it's certainly possible, there's a lot of Goals still that can and will be revealed!

Phew! That's all for today, folks; stay tuned tomorrow for more infobit summaries; same Reaper time, same Reaper channel! ^_^

I can't wait(well I can) until Tianot comes out as long as Tianot does come out.  I also hope we have boats/ships in this kickstarter, like Caravels, Galleons, and Frigates for pirate themed battles, but knowing my luck I'll have to buy a kit or build it from scratch.

I have a few questions also because this is my first KS; do you have the option to add individual parts of the core later on (not retail) during or after the kickstarter or would you have to add another core to your pledge, because I want more goblins, orcs, ogres, and torture chamber parts(so far).  Also will there be any ninjas, like the goblin ninja(I must have goblins on the brain)?

As to people asking what Froghemoth is; he's an AD&D monster released in the 80's.

Welcome aboard, KS is fun, a lot of us have backed a lot of them... *looks guilty*

Anyhow, yes and no. Some (maybe not all) of the core pieces will be available to add in the pledge manager. In a few days we'll know which ones as Reaper is working on breaking them up and adding to the pledge manager right now. Most likely (from past experience) you'll be able to get the "themed sets" that got unlocked separately from the core, but individual pieces may not be available. We'll just have to wait and see what they do this time around.

To add them, you'll have to adjust your pledge in the Kickstarter "Manage" to add more money to what you are putting towards it. Currently, the Pledge Manager is just a tool (a calculator) to show you how much you should have your current pledge amount at. Money won't be collected until after the kickstarter closes, so you can raise, lower, or drop your pledge any time between now and then.

When the kickstarter is over, that's when the Pledge Manager becomes a different tool, you'll have "credit" in there for how much you pledged in the kickstarter and if you got paid after the kickstarter for example, you'll be able to add on more stuff (up to 10 of each thing in the pledge manager) and then enter credit card information and pay for whatever else you wanted. The extra money in the pledge manager after the kickstarter is over, does NOT count towards stretch goals. If you want to help unlock the most stuff, you'll need to pledge your maximum amount during the kickstarter itself while it's live.

I know it doesn't completely answer your question, but just be patient and we'll all find out together when it's released. I hope this helps.  ^_^
