Is it just me, or do things like the temple dragon, and some others like that seem perfect for an expansion set? I wonder if they are planning on having expansion sets (bear in mind that even though I sculpt for Reaper, I have NO idea as to what is coming outside of the things I've sculpted for them; and even then I have no idea what is for the KS and what will be in metal at a future date).

I haven't seen much talk about this but here is a quote from the FAQ that got a serious update about a day after the KS went live.

"What is a Core Set Expansion?

Green items are part of the Core Set Pledge and the Core Set grows as the Core Set stretch goal are met.

Orange items are buy-in, add-ons that you must add more to your pledge to get. More buy-in options are revealed as their stretch goal are met.

The other colors items are a $50 add-on that grows like the Core Set, but has it's own stretch goals independent of the Core Set and not included in the Core Set. Nor, will the Core Set have the Expansions' miniatures added to it."

Regarding Lavarath - I'm also a little concerned that he could pull a Deathsleet and slowly bend forward at the ankles, but the wings might counter-balance it enough. It's really hard to tell from the picture; I'd have to see video of someone holding it and turning it around to get a sense of just how skinny his ankles really are, and how centered his center of gravity is. Still super duper excited for him, though!!! :bday:

Huzzah!

OK, so I'm not the only one who has had that problem with Deathsleet?  My wife picked it up recently as she has a dragon collecting.. ahem... habit.   All was fine until I glued the wings on and it started bending forward.  Two different "hot potato/cold potato" boiling treatments and it would stand OK for a while then start bending over like a 65 year old woman who didn't keep up on her calcium supplements.   Feels good to hear I'm not the only one.  It does look like "glue the tail to the base as a third attachment point" is the solution.

Happy about another dragon.  I also think I already have most of those paint colors though... But that's fine by me.

P.S. - Assuming this Kyra isn't the iconic Cleric one.  Can one find a "Kyra not saddled up" figure anywhere?

So .. is it also posisble to pledge for just the $50 expansions? "Core set expansion" is a bit of a confusing term ..

That OneBoot. What a brave sole.

Was that on purpose, or just a misspelling becoming a beautifully hilarious pun?

I see what you guys did there!

So, I'm still digging through all the posts, so sorry if this has been asked already:

Are the paints in set B all OOP colors or just nice to have colors? I know I have all of those, so I'm trying to figure out why those colors were selected.

Hoard of the Dragon Queen calls for as many as 12 ogres.  Just sayin'.

Mattnuke, pretty sure they're useful colors.  All still in production, or at least they were when I bought them, and I've only been collecting MSP's for a year or so.

Last time you could add the expansion sets just like any other paid stretch goal, so yes, Expansion plus $1 is likely an option.

I assume that they are also thinking long and hard about Stormwing and Gauth as well before going bones with them to avoid the Deathsleet tipping issue again.

Nope this Kyra came out way before Pathfinder even came out. K&L originally were release #3000 in the Dark Heaven metal line. Sandra Garrity did the dragon while Werner Klocke did Kyra.

As stated they are just popular colors to have. Just a option to get em at a nice price.
