And after an exhausting four hours of non stop painting, I am done and boy am I happy with how the assassin came out. I am particularly pleased with the scabbards. They were originally brown but blended too much with the other leather so I decided to do wraps like the ones on his legs. After he went on his base he got a little pigment to dirty his feet up and blend in with the base. So here we have my second and final entry for the competition this weekend.

Even at this stage, any input would be appreciated.

Thank you! We will see how everything goes. It will be an adventure transporting Beastie though as I went to put her in my Tablewar case only to find her wing is about an inch too tall to fit. So this afternoon will be spent trying to figure out an alternate transportation method for her.

Fantastic! The scabbards look great, that base is simple and elegant. He's a very clean paint job. I think you'll do VERY well at the competition. Good luck!!

Thanks Ub3r! The scabbards were a gamble so I am pleased they turned out so well.

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy the show/con and please let us know how you do in the competition.  ^_^

This was from a couple months ago; I was pretty unsure what I wanted to do with it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, particularly given that I think I only had three different colors of blue paint in bottles, and two of them were pretty similar.

Watch out this time of year for this fellow, he'll come riding in with the blizzards!

Catching a bit of a 1970's version of A Christmas Carol while channel hopping today reminded me that I still had these gals to paint:-

I was planning on extending Presents base with putty but mine had dried up (Plus I'm not sure I would've had much success reproducing that wooden plank look anyways), so she's going to look a little weird (Although she already looks a little weird in her pirate cosplay).
Just waiting on them to dry, and then, hopefully, I can start painting them tomorrow.

Won't get them finished by Christmas, I'll probably still be working on them well into January, but I should be able to finish them eventually.

Okay, so maybe he's not smelling his cloak.  But it sure did make a fun alternate for why he's posed like that.

I didn't do my normal battle report because i neglected to take photos while i was going.  I'm happy with this guy.  Kept it very very simple.  I'll still have to base him and a little clean up on the cloak, but overall I'm happy with him.

and the last of this month's work, pretty sure can't see another one out of me with only half a day left. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. I gave up my blue for that stupid hellborn skag Skarre, now what color do I choose. While looking at pirate pics for ideas I noticed alot of them were deplicted as wearing brown alot but could recall seeing any or hardly any pirate mini's painted as such, so....

Last of this month's work. I know said was gonna take a break for the holidays but got bored. While scrounging around my loose mini's I came across her, don't know what happened to the wraiths but decieded to paint her alone....hehe no choice without the wraiths. She always reminded me of someone and wanted no needed to due her as such as i could, so without further ado....

      ....A.K.A. "the Scarlet Witch"

I wanted her to be at least more sinster looking thinking about going back and giving her a purple eye shadow maybe that will help with the over all look of the face.
