Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted July 9, 2015 Reaper User Share Posted July 9, 2015 So Im playing around with ideas for new models to fill in holes for Force Group selection and you can see just by this chart for the existing Terran models we have a LOT of holes to fit. Here is a quick anti-infantry CAV with 3 DTs that show you even with the little guys you can get a lot of variety with the design.

joshuaslater
I was hoping for a render or sculpt. That aside, lil' mechs really would be cool in metal or plastic. My CAV enthusiasm will return when I get the book. Edited July 10, 2015 by joshuaslater
Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted July 10, 2015 Author Reaper User Share Posted July 10, 2015 This was just a quick build. We design a model after we have it statted out.

General308
You should do a contest and let players come up with designs to fill in the gaps.
Club
Looking at the designs on Talon-games.com, I'd hesitate to call most of what is calssified as recon as actual recon designs. Mostly, I'd classify them as Electronic Warfare or C3 (Command, control, communications) designs. Among the Cavs designated recon the Razor is the sole exception in having a light skirmisher role that doesn't either hinder the enemy or bolster friendly designs; even it has tag.

Don't lose your hats, everyone, this is my own unofficial speculation on what the Dart could look like, based off CAVBOSS's works in development. Approximately 8 hours work with 3DS Max, rendered with mental ray. Edited July 27, 2015 by SparksMurphey

Arc 724
So in the distance future of CAV will there be a CAV redesign where the Technology has gotten even better and the MECHs have started getting smaller but just as powerful?! :)

In game terms, CAV technology is pretty new. The current game year is 2274 with modern CAVs only showing up in 2240 (the Rach's Tyrant). Look how far we came since WW2 and multiply that by improved manufacturing etc.

Mastergunz
Oooh, now that I really like. :D Though, I think slightly wider feet would look more able to handle a side heavy gun like that. Just my personal opinion. -Gunz
