Reaper Bones 3: Post-Kickstarter Discussion

On June first, we will be locking down the pledge manager, meaning that no new items or orders can be added to your rewards. If you have not locked anything in by June first, we will not be able to ship you your rewards with the rest of the backers

Seems pretty straight forward to me.

Thank you Reaper!  Can't wait for Wave 1!

This many people and someone is going to complain no matter what happens. I am certain that people have been emailing in and posting in the comments section with complaints about all sorts of rediculous things since the Kickstarter started. I am sure people would complain if the PM was left open an extra day/week/whatever. People in large groups can be rather silly.

I always say that if I were to build a little shack in my neighbourhood where I could sit there and hand out $20 bills to everyone who passed by, I'd get complaints from some people that it should be in the form of 4 $5 bills instead, and complaints from others that the shack doesn't fit with the aesthetic of the neighbourhood, and a huge volume of complaints from locals that it was causing too much traffic, and probably a dozen other complaints I can't even imagine.

Reaper has been very nearly begging people to lock in at least part of their pledges for months. They also made it incredibly easy to add items to your pledge incrementally over time through the manager, spending bits of your pledge credit, or adding funds as you go. The fact that so many people persist in complaining that they screwed it up at the end never ceases to amaze me.

I mean... if you want to be able to arbitrarily buy any Bones model you want, at any time into the indefinite future, isn't that what the retail store is for!?

I feel bad for the Reaper crew, carefully, and painstakingly composing instructions for their backers, and sending it out every which way they can, knowing they will still get buried under complaints about it being a surprise.

Looks like Reaper caved. If you messed up, get to the pledge manager now.

::o: Wow. So much for the end of my wistful wembling over a few extra bits.

That was pretty decent of them, anyhow.

In disbelief of the PM being reopened, I logged into it. It had everything listed as double my actual order. FREAKED ME OUT!

Logging out and back in again fixed it.

I figured that I should mention this to others in case it was not an isolated incident.

Same for me, although logging out didn't fix it. Not that I'm intending to order any more stuff

Well. I still don't get to add anything. I even logged out, then back in. Still won't let me add anything.

And no, I haven't been complaining to Reaper.....it's not their fault I didn't have any money in my accounts until after it was closed.:down:

EDIT: My "Order more stuff" page is exactly the same as my "Completed Orders" page.

Official Response:

Due to popular demand, we are reopening the Pledge Manager for a brief window.

It will be closing on Friday June 3rd at 11:59 PM CST (midnight). This is the moment when it stops being Friday and changes to Saturday.
