I seem to have a problem with the pledge manager. I have "checked out" a certain selection and paid additional funds. When I now try to add things, the manager adds shipping again - I'm pretty sure that I had been able to add more things before checking out without increasing my shipping costs. Relogging did not help.

Interesting. I've sent Kit an e-mail and he's looking at this.

They cannot simply resize because they lack the means, and will need to resculpt the figures based on the same concept art.  Bryan has said in multiple places that they should remain true to their current, smaller figures, but additional details will be added due to the increased scale.

I'm skeptical the additional details will be enough to make me want these over the versions I already have. To be honest, the scale of miniatures across manufacturers and individual sculptors varies so widely, that you could literally go insane worrying about the 'scale' of each figure..so I just sort of stopped caring about the scale issue a long time ago. A fire giant is a fire giant and will use whatever stats I pull out of the Monster Manual..whether the miniature on the table is per se the right 'scale/size' doesn't matter so long as you can tell it's a fire giant.

Yeah, I'll end up picking up more of the current Fire Giants for that same reason. I can put smaller figure on bigger bases to portray bigger monsters, but it's much more difficult to reverse it. The Fire Gaints will just have to proxie for Frost Giants when necessary.

I think a lot of people are in this same boat; I don't particularly want to shell out additional money for bigger versions of what I already have.

I would be more likely to get them if they were substantially different from the ones already in production (aka the ones I have). Because I have gaints of all sizes, but I don't necessarily want two sets of giants that look pretty much the same in two different sizes.

But hey, I'm probably a minority.

I have adopted this attitude as well.

I agree with you.

The fire giant from D&D 5th edition has a nice concept, but I don't really like the extra large weapons. I didn't order the old versions because they are large size (Wizards had indicated already that giants would be "huge") but I will probably get the new ones and MAYBE swap the weapons.

I think Reaper made a good call resizing the fire giants and adopting D&D 5tth edition style. Though the extremely large weapons are not to my taste, I agree they should be that big. D&D 5th edition market is not to be ignored.

As long as scale goes, I'm not entirely happy with the variation from different manufactures and lines, but I'm ok if there is no dwarf taller than an elf, or troll larger than a fire giant.

I'm very happy about the size upgrade for the fire giants, same poses and all. Definitely going to add them. I really hope they upgrade the Bones I frost, cloud & storm giants also. The Bones I frost giants are my favorite style of giant. I wonder if they didn't get an upgrade because they didn't sell well? Every manufacturer seems to make them the same way (Norse). The Reaper models are so unique.

I just assumed that it was because RPG players (especially D&D) think of Norse-like Frost Giants, so they'll probably sell better than the less-civilized versions from Bones I.  That said, I do like the models from Bones I, and think he might work well as the Jarl of a far northern march within the Frost Giants' realm.

      Hi chums!

This is the latest Kickstarter project, expanding our fantasy range this time, and bringing light to the ones we have that might not have been noticed. Along with some super cool female minis, we have some brand new scenics too, and a whole bunch of add on bundles.
I'll post more on the lead up, but for now if you're interested, could you click the "notify me" on the pre launch page and it will help the algorithms, and you know algorithms are the new gods!

A new kickstarter from Crooked Dice. I've been following the publicity for this and it really appeals to me. Lots of very colourful figures and most of them are a nice change from the usual predictable gun-toting heavies. I've collected plenty of Crooked Dice figures over the years and always been very pleased with the quality.

      Story
Welcome everyone to the Kickstarter campaign for Sun & Moon. Two highly detailed 1:20 scale (90mm) resin kits  cast in high quality resin. Sun Is roughly 100mm to the top of his head!
Sun & Moon comparisment: Sun stands at nearly 100mm!!!
This has been the project that has been the longest in the works and also our most expensive one to date! We could really use your help to bring these two kits onto the market so we do hope that you like what you see and will be able to back us and help us spread the word! :)
      Story
Many years back, the idea to do some themed knights popped into my head and out of all of those, Sun & Moon were the ones that really stuck and kept coming back in my thoughts.  The idea to do two characters that are opposites of each other in every way really appealed to me.
      Sun
You have the Sun Knight, devout follower of the Sun God, a fiery and strong warrior with everything about him representing his deity. I can just see him painted in bright and warm colours that embody the very essence of the Sun!
      Moon
And then you have the Moon Knight, a cool and brooding figure that operates under the cover of darkness, guided by the wisdom of the Moon Goddess. Very much a deadly warrior in her own right! Painted in moody hues that represent the colours that only moonlight can shower the world in.
