Reaper Bones 3: Post-Kickstarter Discussion

Recommended Posts

If people abandon pledges, does that mean some of us that were not in the know and missed out ( ) could pick them up?  Bah... what am I thinking, that is even more of a logistical nightmare.  Put them in the shop and I'll keep buying them at retail.  Heck, put me in the shop and I'll work for them.  My wife might not be thrilled with that option, but she will get used to living in a tent after a little while!

I feel really bad for the Reaper crew, and frustrated at the fact that no one seems to want to set up a plastic injection factory on the North American continent. Seems like they could potentially pick up a lot of business from various Kickstarters especially now that shipping rates will likely be going up and/or taking longer. It's not like there aren't a bunch of former factory workers begging for manufacturing jobs...

Anyway, can't say that I'd have done anything different from Reaper and I hope this is the last of the delays.

I was pleased to see that the first page of comments in KS were full of people saying that it is ok to delay as long as Reaper´s continue to comunicate, rather then the usual Haters and Trolls (are all of them slayed by Sophie yet?).

And as I was reading about the delay all I could wonder is: "will they re-open the Pledge Manager? I need some big dragons...".

It is too selfish to think that?  :wow:

Also, I can´t find out what the light blue slice of pie is.

Is referring to 476,000 minis (14% of 3,400,000)

Also also, The options (bright orange) shouldn´t be 36% (35.88%) of the pie chart?

(sorry, I am too much a mathematics enthusiast to let go numbers and chart and don´t want to know everything about it)

Well mistakes and setbacks can happen.

I think the most important thing is that Reaper communicates honestly and open about these things.

I pledged , I put in more than 2 orders....

And I will wait.

I KNOW my pledge will be delivered, it will only be a little later.

As long as I'm informed about it in a good way I'm fine.

Also Reaper offers the possibility of refunding, some companies would not even do that.

So Bryan and all the other folks working hard to get this fixed, two thumbs up for the communication!

And we won't let you down!

I'm not fussed about it. For me these KS have never been about the minis. I love the minis, but it's not like I have a shortage. I support the Reaper KS because of people like Bryan and Ron. People who care about the company, and the hobby, and their customers. I'll be just fine until it gets here.

I wish I had gone for the brain in a jar in hindsight.

Hey, at least we got to see Vanja!

I like the new sculpt.  I was hoping for a more assertive pose, but she's true to the original and concept art.  She'll fit with a larger range of Giants, as well.  We're definitely going to need updated Cloud and Storm Giants now, though!

Can't imagine the reaction when the Reaper people read "Invoice for finishing production? Oh no, that invoice is for starting production!"

Oooooooooh man.

I don't mind, I still have a million from the first two kickstarters that I haven't gotten to yet, and no active campaign or game demanding new figures. I'm fine waiting, I know it will get here sometime. I just hope this doesn't delay the possible 4th bones kicktarter!

Comparing side by side, I like both of the Vanja sculpts, but the new one, painted right, though her face is looking down, her eyes can be looking up in a very sinister "Imma gonna skewer you."

Thanks for the update. Delays are inevitable and with the issues with international shipping still happening. More then happy to wait as the quality of the final product speaks for itself.

Core Set extras...meaning things that are in the Core, but were purchased as add ons.

Ah with 6 extra months I could have added more...

So I am disapointed with the delay. Again not in reaper themselves or even with the manufacturer... Mistakes happen.

My disapointment is with not being able to roll around in my toys... Without this I really have nothing to look forward to for Christmas...

Not gonna lie. Disapointed.

Man, there are a few snarky trolls on the KS comment thread for this update. Don't let it get you down Bryan!

Just ran across this. I’m not familiar with the company, but they seem pretty established in the historical line. Anyone have thoughts on these? The price per figure seems reasonable for good resin.
