Fulfilling Reaper Bones 3: Post-Kickstarter Discussion

While that may be true over the course of a day or even a week I'd be willing to bet that if all your communication to her turned to being terse and/or absent for long enough you'd be single and your analogy would apply to the situation in a whole different way.

When I was in 4th grade, our science teacher had a portion of the plans for Skylab - specifically the waste management system, with the words 'As far as I can tell, it's supposed to hit the fan'....

 

It is a fact of life that time will be found for communication both more easily and more frequently when the faecal matter is not impacting the rotary impeller.

 

When the impact does occur, all hands are either trying to stop the resulting deluge, or taking cover from same.

So true, which is why it was so alarming when people started being condescending and insulting to backers who were asking for communication. You nailed it. It didn't help any aspect of the situation.

To answer your question: skip the forums and/or KS. Have you tried directly contacting Reaper?  (Granted, right now might not be the best time, but I have always gotten a pretty decent response that way.)

 

I did and no help at all from Reaper.Tthey have given up on Base Boss and that is the bad part of this not the delays. I know I will get my Bases some day once they get Bones done but a reply would be nice..

Not a member of the base boss backers, but I thought the official words was the fulfillment was being done at the same time.

They are being fulfilled sequentially.

 

Quoted from Update #11 from the Base Boss KS:

"We're about to begin fulfillment of both our Bones 3 and Base Boss Kickstarters, and we plan to fulfill rewards sequentially, with Bones 3 fulfilling first, immediately followed by Base Boss. Note that we are not combining these rewards into the same boxes as those (since every single one of you backed both projects). You will receive two (or more) boxes."

I don't think that's what he's talking about. With Base Boss there is no way for backers to know how many bases comes in each set people ordered. That info was only in the pledge manager, which has been closed since January. Some base sets come with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 22... bases. For example, if somebody ordered 3 sets of 50mm round bases and 2 sets of 75x46mm oval bases, we have no way to find out how many of each base that is, unless the backer copied that information personally before the PM closed. People have been asking for Reaper to post that info in the comments for months with no response given.

 

Luckily, I made a list of the bases I backed for, but I didn't order nearly everything. Many backers have no way of knowing how many bases they are getting and Reaper hasn't addressed the issue in the KS comments or in the forum thread. In fact, the last time they made a comment in Base Boss at all was on January 11 to tell us they closed the PM. They have not answered one question since they locked down the PM. It's really strange and a number of people are very unhappy about it. Understandably so.

I don't think I have any minis from the 70s still in boxes. Which is not to say that I don't have minis from the 70s or that I've painted all of my minis from the 70s. Just that I don't have original boxes for them.

I am a backer of Base Boss as well.

 

I fail to see the direct connection to Bones 3, and therefore this thread, though.

 

Bones 3 communication has not been impacted by Base Boss. There was a point that it was discussed that the KSers might be fulfilled simultaneously...even in the same packages. This was decided to not be the route actually chosen though.

 

Bones 3 will ship when it ships. Communication could have been better but it could have been much worse. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that. I have complete faith I will receive my order and complete faith Reaper is doing everything they can to ensure that happens as timely and with as few mistakes as possible. 

 

To be more specific, I would be shocked to not receive a shipping notice in the next week. I would not be irate, just shocked.
