Reaper Bones 3: Post-Kickstarter Discussion

Recommended Posts

In theory, my package is being shipped or is about to at this time. But honestly, even if I was dead last I would still be happy because I know that it's coming for sure, and I've never had a doubt that it will. My mind is at ease because I know that Reaper is true to their word and work hard to get everything fulfilled. It doesn't mean that everything has gone great, but it doesn't have to. Life itself will never be perfect; delays and setbacks are the norm in life, Kickstarter or not. Things won't go smoothly because there is a limited amount of things that we control, and the rest is the roll of dice from the rest of the world. What matters is not what we can't control, but what we do with the things that we -can- control. Every single employee at Reaper has my thanks for putting everything that you can into your work for us, because it really does show.

I saw it too. Ouch.

Also saw them ship a package to Valhalla. Oh yeah. Had to take a screenshot of that... for giggles.

  Reveal hidden contents

I wish I'd been able to take screenshots of some of the places I've shipped things to over the years, lol - I once sent a package to Hell. Then a few years later I sent another package to a different Hell, lol.

Not to mention Electric Avenue, Santa Claus Lane, Indio Muerto Street (yes, "Dead Indian" Street)...

I can't even remember what wave I'm supposed to be in... Since it's spring and I don't have to worry about my paints freezing, now that the boxes are shipping I find I still don't particularly have any driving need to know exactly when my package will be showing up. Unless something I've ordered has a specific deadline for its intended use, I rather kind of like forgetting all about my incoming stuff and being able to come home after work to find something in my mailbox or on my stairs and have to stop for a second and check the address label to figure out what it is...

This has not been the fun of previous projects.

IIRC, Last KS, Reaper had a carrier who told Reaper how to fill out certain ROW forms -- and was wrong.

While not a major time delay, it must have been frustrating. I hope you don't have to go through that again.

Reaper, CMON, Dwarven Forge, and Johnny Lauck are the only companies on my KS whitelist, and Johnny Lauck's retired from KS. :/

The link in the email that says my order has received postage says they estimate my Bones will be here on Thursday.

Hell is far away from Detroit.  Much closer to Ann Arbor!

Bit worried about my delivery (no notice yet). I've got until Saturday to accept the package in person. Guess the neighbors might bring it inside when they feed the cats.

I've not yet received any notification as a Canadian backer.

I liked this. Because I'm a sadist that still wants a tiger skin rug.

What i mean is, people are saying there are 2000 backers in Wave 1.

Well, they're pullign Wave 1 right now, but that doens't mean at 2000 orders it will be wave 2. Because parts of Wave 1 were the other zones, and so those orders are already pulled.

So it seems to me that they will get to wave 2 before the 'orders shipped today' reaches 2k, you see?

not sure if i'm explaining myself correctly, but i'm trying.

I understood you perfectly.

Bryan, I'm sorry this project hasn't been as much fun as past ones.

Yeah, me too.

My pledge got postage! It didn't update until much later in the evening with an estimated delivery date. I checked about 7PM EDT but there wasn't any, but by 9:30PM EDT I had an estimated delivery date of Thursday. It says UPS easypost, and with easy post I was estimating Friday. Yes, Louisville is a UPS hub, but from what I understand it's a UPS air hub. Don't know about trucks. My pervious experience suggests it'll be on a truck headed for Louisville tomorrow, get to UPS on Wednesday. USPS will get Thursday and deliver it Friday. But heck, they know their supply lines, and time tables. Maybe that truck is headed my way while I type this.

And for other people's Info, I'm Wave 1, Locked in 8/19. Can't remember the time. I think it was in the evening.

I *think* I signed your package. I'm not sure anymore but I remember seeing your name on a box as I was strapping

While having a signed package would be awesome, I definitely would prefer you to have a seamless and smooth rest of fulfillment. I'm sorry it hasn't been fun for you and the team, and I hope the rest of it goes much better.

I look forward to staring at the counter all day tomorrow :P

Well even though a signature is not quite as nice as a stinky shoe, if my package has one, it will still fill me with joy, and if it does not, it's all good.

I hope for you and yours, the rest of the process goes smoothly, and if it doesn't, that duct tape and WD-40 is all you need to solve it.

Since I'm in Wave 1, which will probably be done by the end of tomorrow, that means that our pledge will arrive just as we're heading out of town.

At least I've arranged with a neighbor to accept delivery on my behalf (and changed the address in the Pledge Manager accordingly). But man, the thought of that lovely box o' Bones waiting for me at home is going to be highly distracting!

Huzzah!

--OneBoot :D

I know the feeling! I won't be back in the states for another two weeks, so my Bones'll be sitting at my folks' place for a little while before I show up.

I did quite a bit of f5ing my gmail today, even though my relativity late lock in for wave 1 pointed to tomorrow being more likely.

I wonder if the package will fit in the mail box?  Bones2 fit, in a similar mail box, and I didn't get a Mal, but I did buy 2 expansions, paints and a DVD, so maybe?

I am still one mini short on my Bones2 goal before new arrival, I should work on it tomorrow.

School ends on Wednesday, and elderspawn is hosting a big party that night  So painting time may be more constrained after tomorrow.

Just ran across this. I’m not familiar with the company, but they seem pretty established in the historical line. Anyone have thoughts on these? The price per figure seems reasonable for good resin.
