Alsvin the roar of heaven had lived among the people of Varens watch for fifty years as mortals recon such things, as a scribe and scholar at the library of Oghma. As soon as the devils among the host of the duergar stepped talon on the soil of this land he knew they were coming the vaults beneath the city would be too tempting for them to resist. The city would have to be warned but his watch was paramount, reaching out to his power he assumed a new form and traveled to the riverward. There at the twin horn tavern he found a pair of adventures that had sought information at the library a few times before. Vasha an oni from the far west and her friend Talisa  from the Shattered islands far to the south. Her people had breed with devils millenniums ago but had chosen their own way shortly after their empire broke apart on the night of screaming fire. The pair made good coin exploring the wild lands. And now he gave the, a new commission to head to the Dam at the headwaters of the Illvalance river and explore a recently unearthed complex. (It pained Alsvin to place them in danger for a lie but a mortal voice must raise the alarm)

 

Gilinda had been riding the winds over the battle mounds for a few hours her steed, a gift from the all father's stable surging with the wind when she saw smoke on the horizon turning her mount to the north she came a hamlet of no real note but in the early hours a out runner band of duergar had found it. Many dead littered the ground two warriors a brother and sister her sight told her stood on in the doorway of the chapel a pile of dead dwarves before them.  As they fought like shadows of each other she saw as only her kind could the spear hurling towards the blindside of one of the warriors  and new a new heroine was to come to the halls.

 

I think I will pick up a second solar maybe try a mod to make it bear headed or maybe avian of some kind.

My first thought was, "Where's the Skoli's tail?" then I realized Skoli never had tails...woops!
 

For the most part, I do like the concept art more, but I'm not disappointed by the renders so far.

I do think I'm skipping the Solar, though...the face is a bit more lion-like than I expected, and I wound up having a ton of Angelic troops between the Age of Sigmar starter set and the Kings of War Kickstarter.

The one thing I like about the Skoli, is that she doesn't have a scabbard.  So you can easily remove either the staff or the sword and it will not look out of place.  And since it's Bones, removing the weapon is a piece of cake.

Was talking with MM about the models, we figured that a contributing factor to "balloon boobs" is armor that shows a little skin, while being thick enough to look strong. Knights plate was actually incredibly thick in the front, then tapered to the sides. I practically give it a good 3/4" armor thickness

Oh noes, no a plus sized female character!

I'm not a size 5... Or 8... Or 10 lol, I have big boobs... I am always happy to see a full figured mini since so few companies offer them.

 

I didn't realize Solar was a lion dude from the concept art, may be switching to something else.

Are the skoli unique to Reaper, or are they "from" something else?

I believe they were the older version of Tieflings, since the existing metal Skoli are now tagged "Hellborn" as well.

The valkyrie is lovely...

 

Except for the breasts. They're not too big, they're not right.

 

The detail on the rest of the mini is amazing, but the chest is thoroughly smooth. Also, too smooshed together. Like someone has grabbed her chest from either side and pushed them together. Almost a UniBoob look.

 

The Skoli and Oni are on point. No issues there.

 

The solar... I was extremely excited about this mini. But lionine? Oh dear. Not what I had hoped. May be rethinking this unless I can come up with an idea where this can fit into my mythos.

Right now my only complaint is we got to see renders instead of actual sculpts. While Reaper is more true when showing previews vs say what Paizo shows when they preview the upcoming Pathfinder Battle figures, I'd prefer to see what I'm actually getting.

 

I was gonna pick up the Solar before I seen a mini pic as I love the art + the price is just too good not to get one.

 

Reminds me I need to add in some cash to my pledge.

I love that the valkyrie is a plus sized lady.  There's something... off about her breasts though.  I think it's the way her armor is acting as a Jello mould:  if the cleft was less pronounced and it looked like armor, I think I could cope.  Texture might help sell it to me as well.  The skolli is OK, except I would prefer less of the armored bikini look in my figures. 

The oni is, as just everyone has said, perfect.  That figure alone sells the set for me.  But, if I'm keeping it 100%, it always did even when it was just a sketch back in Bones the First : )

The solar concept art looked like the facial hair made him vaguely resemble a feline. I'm saddened by the change (especially since I already confirmed getting one).

 

The solar weapons and the valkyrie's boobs have the same issue: the render looks unfinished with little detail. (compare the concept solar weapons to the render). If that gets some work, I wont be so sad.

 

With as many mismatched dual weilding figures we get, I'm surprised we don't have someone dropping a bow with one hand and pulling a sword with the other.

 

I need to pick up the ship golem though. The detail on that is amazing.

I like the Mr Bones a lot, a lot of depth under that hood. Not sure about the Solar, and not really interested in Pretty Deadly. I was kinda suprised at the Valkyrie pull down table she has in front of her face.
