And just to make sure she puts me in my place as an amateur, my partner painted this Goremaw.

yes

I got an extra frost giant king and queen, but everything else is good.

Has anyone noticed the Retailer Bones 3 Assortment box in the store for $775?

Is it just me or is there a typo on the ad? Isn't $775 roughly 66% OF the $1137 value, not 66% OFF $1137 (ie 1/3 off)?

They must mean 66% of retail, really  33% off

The kickstarter is a fantastic discount. I should have bought more.

You know, you can tell exactly where strangers in trucks are in my neighborhood by being near an open window and listening to the patterns of barking dogs up and down the nearby streets. I've never noticed that before. Comcast guy, garbage truck, that one guy trying to sell siding and/or free roof inspections since the recent hailstorm. I can sit by the window and track them by ear.

And when the UPS guy shows up, I guarantee my dog won't notice.

Tupid dog.

I wouldn't say it's randomly determined who got the retail box vs the non retail, but box size wasn't a factor - we evaluated our supply and produced an algorithm to determine exactly how best to distribute 1,500 retail packaged versions without bias.

It makes perfect sense. I would have liked it if one of my 3 Ma'als was in the retail box, but I didn't get one -because- I ordered three. Having them all in the brown boxes fits perfectly at the bottom of the main box, while having one retail box in there would have left a gap and made things less efficient. I understand and agree with the need to be as efficient as possible; in the end, I still have the figures, and that's what really matters.

Most everyone here probably think I am nuts, but my box has been sitting here since Tuesday completely untouched.  It's still just a wonderful cat perch with Bryans name on it.

So the tracker has been stuck at 566 for just over 40 mins now. I'm wondering if they decided to do an all hands on deck to unload a container from the second warehouse to restock the line.

Hourly update, 6 orders were processed in the first few mins between 2-3PM CDT. For about 55 mins the tracker did not update. As the page is still working, the server is still up. It is possible that Reaper needed an all hands to unload a container from the second warehouse to restock the shipping line. The first time this was brought up it was warned that the tracker wouldn't update for almost two hours while they unloaded and restock. But during previous unloadings they left someone on the shipping line to keep shipping going.

I could paint this weekend.. but I have passes to the pre grand opening of IKEA on Saturday and then I need to make all new SCA garb...  but I'm still eyeballing Goremaw...

What are you doing June 9th through 16th? You could come to Lilies at Smithville Lake. I'm part of running a tailor's tent that is making TRM's Japanese court outfits from the skin out during the 10 days of the war.

I didn't get Dagon, but I might get him down the road when he becomes available. He makes me think of the "bigger fish" from Phantom Menace:

OMG!  Jason Weibe helped create the new Dwarven line being released on Kickstarter by Tomb Guardians!  These minis look so cool and they are cheap!  I haven't seen anyone post about this yet but here is the link.  It starts tomorrow morning.  They also said Bobby Jackson and Gene Van Horne created there monsters in the set.  Cant wait.   I purchased there Amazons and they were fantastic!  I posted some pics.  Im assuming the Fire Demon and add ons are in Resin.

      A huge 2 for 1 KS!
(You get BOTH Humans and Halflings in one project! )
Bloody Peasants! by Midlam Miniatures — Kickstarter

      Story
"Oh no!  It's an armed agrarian uprising!"
Toiling in the fields for their feudal overlords, the peasants are equally quick to turn their tools to defending their lands from monstrous invaders or, when pressed to the limit, revolting and overturning cruel and greedy landowners.
      Bloody Peasants!
A selection of human and halfling farmers in 28mm scale miniatures for all of your fantasy games.
You can choose from humans, halflings or both!
      The Humans
A familiar sight in the villages surrounding Midlam.
      The Halflings
A smaller folk, doing the same jobs as the longshanks.

      It's a Midlam project, so you know what that means;
Maybe a stretch goal, very possibly an early fulfillment, and absolutely no nonsense.

I backed his last project (dice towers), and found them well worth what ended up being a long wait to get them. It seemed only right to share, 'cause he makes REALLY PRETTY THINGS. Go look.
