Baby behir maybe?

I know the name but not very familiar with behirs. When were they introduced?

Before my time, TBH. I didn't start playing until AD&D 2nd edition, and they were already in the Monster Manual at that point. As per Wikipedia,  "The behir first appeared in the first edition adventure module, The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (1982), and was reprinted in the Monster Manual II (1983)." I was only 2 when they came out. But I used them randomly as a monster in 2nd Ed, and it stuck with me. The behir used as a random encounter in my Pathfinder Kingmaker campaign wound up becoming the mayor of a city. I just have some weird, inexplicable affection for them.

So I had to come on here and make a comment.
Grey Bones, the stiffer ones.  I LOVE THEM.

Been working on the Scarecrow from wild west Oz. The stiffer material was nice to work with. It feels stiff like a hard plastic, but still has some give. I wish there were more mini's like that. I'm won over with those.

Loved the look of that adventure but not the adventure itself. I actually didn't do much with dragons or dragon-like creatures back then. Not sure if I need a full-sized behir now but I try to find a place in an adventure for my minis. I have all the dragons except Ma'al and Stormwind coming (On the UPS truck today!) as I will need them for an upcoming adventure against giants (also stocked up on giants and yeti).

I wonder what size behir are in MM2?

Finally got through checking all my miniatures off on my list, and trying out some fits. Nothing missing or incorrectly provided, as far as I can tell. All in all, very pleased with everything I've gotten, with one exception - the Behir. I love Behirs for reasons I can't explain, and I've got the Huge Behir mini from DDM's first Huge set, which I've used for ages. I was really happy that a Behir was in the Stoneskull expansion, and the render looked gorgeous. The problem with it is one of scale. Behirs are supposed to be huge beasts, able to constrict regular humans and generally imposing, Now that I've got it in my hands... well...

It's so much smaller. Not marginally so, but significantly smaller. While the original Behir is, honestly, a little too large to fit the base, but this is just so tiny in comparison. I'm not sure what to do at this point. One down-side, but otherwise, the minis in my possession are excellent and I can't wait to get to painting them...

I basically bought stoneskull for the behir alone and I'm also disappointed with the looks of it to be honest. Looks like I'm going to have to shell out for the prepaint. It's weird cause usually reaper bones are better at scaling big creatures. I also don't like that it's mashed so much into the broccoli base.

On the bright side the froghemoth looks way better than I thought it would. You win some you lose some.

I've gotten your order details from LadyStorm and I'm investigating.

As with the message above, I've got million things on my desk (and LS has over 1600 emails about this KS She's processing) but I promise she and i are looking into every report -- although in some cases we're waiting for the update to go out because there's a ton of good data in it

Thanks. I sent you a PM before seeing this, so it can be safely ignored. I appreciate the response, I really do.

I got *2* Stoneskulls so my wife and I could each have a Behir. I love the sculpt even though it's a lot smaller than we expected. We already have the DDM one, so a different size is fine by us.

I am pretty sure I have that module in my pile of really OLD stuff that I just can not part with at this time.  Trying to remember if I ever ran it back in the day with my group of high school friends that played.

As for the size of the behir on our Bones 3...it looks pretty menacing next to Sir Forscale and could probably constrict him with ease.

My thoughts exactly. And given my current space issues in okay with it being a bit on the smaller side.

I've got no room. Something is going to have to go. It's not going to be my miniatures. Maybe get a smaller fridge.

My order is out for delivery.  It is keeping from getting anything done so I've wheeled myself out to the garage with the laptop to putter and wait.

Just ran across this. I’m not familiar with the company, but they seem pretty established in the historical line. Anyone have thoughts on these? The price per figure seems reasonable for good resin.
