I'm doing something a little different.

Rather than do a WIP, I'm kinda doing an "Okay this is what I am up to".

I'll post things to this "WIP" as I move along.

Gets me away from the "do some work, take photos, edit photos, crop photos,

post photos syndrome.  I need to focus on just painting for a bit.

So, here is the mini almost all base painted.

I'm planning on some freehand on that shield.

He's also painted in old bronze for the armor.

Moving along in the painting.  Put a midtone in the cloak, and shield, green pants, browned up the leathers,

and add a base blue to cloth at bottom of armor.

Lots of highlight opportunity.

This is a very dynamic figure !

Here are some photos.

Aha !!!  Antique gold was the resolution to the shading problem.

I reworked the entire armor section on the mini, and made adjustments to the shadow

layers on the basic colors.

This is looking much more to my liking.

Here are some photos.

Amazing what some time, light, paint, optivisor, and my W&N brushes can do.

I just decided that my coffee was cold enough probably to drink...LOL.

Always can tell when I am enjoying a miniature, the coffee is ice cold when

I remember that it is there.

Here's where I am at with the Warrior, and I REALLY like where he is at now !

Really digging the colors.

Jay

looking real good there mister Jay!    I especially like the green cloak and its highlights.  They are bright and well blended in.

Really fantastic work on him. I can tell you are enjoying this project!

This one is a blast to do,all that detail, and sliding the highlighting around, and trying to go with the

dynamics of the figure.  its exciting to do !

ROFL, glad the knight is armed!  Playing with the greens, and golds, and doing a little freehand;

makes this whole project a delight.  Thanks to you both. !
