Hey folks!

Just to stay >sane< I am working on some other projects as well for the RPChallenge.

 

Here is Snar Mangebelly,The Kobold King:

I am old school when it comes to kobold skin colors...

WELL, these guys are just about done, looks like a some inspections and Dullcote, base and off to join the rest of the tribe to await the coming of the king.

(these 4 are not so covered in bling as Snar, so he has to wait for paint....)

 

Anyway:

Swordsman

Spearman

Archer

I think of this one as the sorcerer's aprentice, staff, 2 pouches for components, and no armor...

These are coming along nicely. It also reminds me I need to finish my tribe. And when I do I plan to use that purple on my Snarg as well.

Well, purple is the Royal color forbidden to the untermensch, so I went with it. Besides, it stands out against the red brown skin, at least it does when i take good pics....

Don't think any of the rest of the tribe has any purple on them....

 

Don't know what my sudden fascination with kobolds is, These are the last Reaper sculpts I have to finish, and I have all the old Ral Partha AD&D ones from back in the day... The Tribe will be over 20 guys soon!

Now we need a Female Kobold!

Can't wait to see yours!

Georgeremember see seem to remps these guys should be in show off tonight after I finish basing them....

I seem to remember seeing a female with a frying pan and some Kobold kids by another manufacturer. I'll look it up when I get home.

Well, Snar has been getting some paint, he is my go to mini in between DDS 2 and Takhisis, and I used my new Raphael 8404 size 0 on him to work on his skin with a wet blend / layering and OMG what a brush!

 

I had previously done the highlights for his 'clothes' in my normal technique, base coat- wash- 2 high lights.

Compare them to his skin....

It seems so much more natural with this, no hard sharp edges....

I am just blown away....

 

But he is going to have to live with it, as he wont spend all that much time on the table....

 

It was kind of funny, as I had to stop myself from doing things 'the old way', and doing it with the NEW way.

Still more to do on him, but he will make the cut for the Resolution challenge this month...
