Erk
I've filled the role of half-orcs in my campaign world with a new species, the ogala, who are vaguely related to orcs (spawned by some of the same gods) but have little else in common. If I can't figure out something better, I'll use half-orc appearances, but I am thinking of giving them a different savage humanoid look.... as long as I can find the minis to do it! Any suggestions? What we know about the Ogala so far: -they live on the plains and raise horses and herd animals -they have a strong mounted warrior tradition but aren't averse to fighting on foot -they are known for their leather and grass crafts -they trade frequently with hill dwarves and halflings -they make music with reed pipes, drums, and plucked string instruments -their primary gods are a goddess of the hunt and a matronly goddess of fertility and animal husbandry I'm thinking of giving them some art stylings from the first nations of the canadian plains, but I want them to look more like a fusion between the first nations and the rohirrim, so that they fit in my predominately pseudo-european world. I don't need enough minis to have an army but if you can suggest something with good mounted warriors so that I could eventually provide an ogala cavalry charge against their hobgoblin and orcish foes, that would be amazing. Pingo
There was a French resin minis company that had a game with sort of nomadic sort of orcs with a sort of Native American style. I'm trying to remember their name. I got some sort of Egyptian cat people and sort of East Asian archers from them when they were discontinued. I've no idea if the game was good; the rulebook was laid out with the worst typography imaginable over a busy background, about as readable as a Jackson Pollock painting. Pingo
I just checked my storage area. The game was called "Alkemy" and the sort of orcs were called "Aurlocks".

Erk
Hm, both of these are fantastic, but more on the tribal monster end. I'm thinking more like buckskin and fur, and they could look very different from orcs. One thought I've had is to get some plains indians from wargames foundry and do headswaps with something slightly monstrous. Or some Mongolian warriors if I can find a 28mm source
Qwyksilver
Use the Warlord Reven Bull Orcs for a base body, and then look to head swap them.
Erk
My only Ogala player has asked that they be more like Goliaths, just tall brawny humanoids, so I should be OK, there are lots of threads with goliath mini ideas.
