Box of Goodwill (EU/UK Version) - Interest Threadz

I have started this thread to gauge any interest in a UK/EU box of goodwill. This system works in the New World where contributors add to a box and post it around to each other in turn. People then select items from the box and add more to the box and send it on to the next person. This continues until it gets back to the originator.

Can you respond if you have any interest, and are willing to put items into the box, depending on the response I will look to get a box started. Can people also list what sort of items they are interested in, are they predominantly painters or Wargames who are open to having basing, scenery and other items in the box.

- edit 7/9/15

Ok so far we have 5 people who have signed up in order of interest.

I'm interested in this for sure, just... personal funds dependant at the time more than anything. Sounds fun though

And yeah, same as Alchemist. I paint figures that I can either use for Pathfinder in some capacity, or that I just like in general. Scenery, basing, conversion stuff, all sound good to me too

I suggest setting a box size/weight limit since you will be crossing international borders and it may be more expensive to send from one country to another. You may also want to restrict things that would look "suspicious" to your postal services, such as powders and liquids.

Really hope you all can get one started for the UK/EU and have fun with the rest of us!

I would agree we need a few rules, the other simple fact is how many people do we need to make this viable?

In my head it's probably 5/6 after that it's a case of agreeing on a box size and miniature scale (i have 28mm, 1:72 and 15mm mostly and adding stuff to a box.

The other boxes are between 5-9 people each. Really as long as you have 5+ you should be good to go. We did a simple "anything hobby-related miniatures (just nothing huge or heavy), basing materials, conversion bits, and modification parts." Keeping it light and easy is the best way really.

Not saying I'm any kind of expert or anything, but if you want any pointers/have any questions, feel free to hit me up.

It's too bad that my international travel is so sporadic and short notice, or I could work out a way to hand carry a ox from the States over there.

Hand-carrying an ox might be cheaper than shipping it, but I doubt it would be easier, lol...
