Maredudd
Yes. I was looking at Wine last night figuring I'd start from scratch but spent my time trying to figure out how I loaded it on my machine in the first place. thevsite I found, which is where I thoughtbI downloaded it from, now recommends building on my machine from the source code. Thats not the way to get me to use their program.
SCUG
Have you tried this?
Maredudd
Have you tried ? Installed WineBottler this morning then downloaded the latest versions of CAVCP and CAVFM. The instructions for how to use Winebottler are for the most part clear but I ended up reinstalling CP several times to work through the process. The end result of my morning efforts though are that with a simple double-click I now have CP and FM running on my Yosemite Mac. Savage Coyote
guess I'll give that a try over the weekend. Mastergunz is probably tired of making pdf's for me

Maredudd
I'll try to post a note with a brief description of the process and include a note or two on things that made my brow furrow. It may take me a bit as my time on my computer is limited these days to the time between when my grandaughter goes to bed and I go to bed. :-)
Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted September 11, 2015 Author Reaper User Share Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) Updated. Included in the CP is infantry cards and every model that is currently in the game (if you see I missed one let me know and I will fix it), including ones that may have been included of the List of Doom. Ive also include base infantry as well. To help those that cant use the CP program, Ive compiled a pdf of all the cards as they print from the program into one place (the link is in the downloads thread pinned here on the forums). Savage Coyote
Quick question on the downloadable pdf with the 160 units: some units changed from pdf's made via the construction program. Is that a new revision? The biggest ones I saw were the Crusader and Cataphract. The Crusader went to the Recon role, lost an assault level, ATC level, and fire-proof 1 while gaining EST. Cataphract had it's main guns switched from heavy AC's to heavy MAC's or heavy MRAC's. Are these cards considered the most up to date for stats for CAV:SO instead of the program's stats (from about two weeks ago?)

I've d/l'd the new CAVCP and CAVFM and when I get home from work this evening I'll wrap them up as Mac apps and then post some notes.[/size]
Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted September 12, 2015 Author Reaper User Share Posted September 12, 2015 The pdf is a print out of each model from the latest build of the CP. The Crusader was updated to reflect ots original design from CAV2 and the Cataphract was changed to make it more unique. These are now considered the "official" design. You got a link to Winebottler, so I can see exactly what you did? Ok. For any Mac users who haven't been able to work out how to run the CAVCP and CAVFM programs on your Mac yet, here are my notes on how I got them to work using Winebottler . . . 1. D/L CAVCP and CAVFM and unzip the files. 2. D/L and install Winebottler 3. Run Winebottler and click on "Advanced" in the apps top bar. 4. Select "new prefix (default)" for the Prefix Template. 5. For Program Installation click the "select file" and then navigate to the exe file inside the CAVCP folder you downloaded and unzipped. 6. Next click on the third radio button below the path to the CAVCP.exe program. The text there reads "This is the program, copy it and all files that are in the same folder". 7. Skip down to the "App Bundle" section and click t=on the box to "Include Wine.app . . . " Note: I don't think the next three items are critical but just in case I made stuff up that fit the template. 8. Enter a fictitious company for Copyright 9. Use that same company name for the com.company.cavcp entry. If you are not distributing the app you end up with here then it doesn't really matter what you use for a company name. If you do plan on distributing the app you'll likely end up with way more problems than figuring out a name to use . . . 10. I selected "Games" for the third item. Note: I left the coding entry blank because I know that's not required as long as you have no problem dialing GateKeeper back the first running of the resultant app. 11. Click the "Install" button on the lower right corner of the Wine window. You will see a popup asking you for where you want to save the app. Navigate to where you want the app and give it a name. I used CAVCP<version>. You should now be able to run the program at this point. Rinse and repeat for CAVFM. SparksMurphey
I see the Vindicator Terran CAV revealed earlier has been renamed the Centaur, so as not to clash with the Malvernis Dropship of the same name. :D
Brother Jim
I can't afford to buy the book yet, would it be possible to get the weapon names spelled out? For example, the Quick Start PDF has: GM for Guided Missile. MAC for Magnetic Accelerator Cannon. R for Rocket. I'm assuming that MRAC is Magnetic Rotary Accelerator Cannon? Thanks.
