Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted September 14, 2015 Author Reaper User Share Posted September 14, 2015 Yes I renamed the model to avoid name confusion as I included stats for every model from CAV2 in their original designation for those who want to still use them as they were.
Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted September 14, 2015 Author Reaper User Share Posted September 14, 2015 I will be updating the quickstart rules to be more inclusive with all the model cards and it will include the full list of weapon names. You are correct on the MRAC.
Girot
ooh, I can't wait to see what a "stock" Scorpion looks like. I wonder how close I got! UPDATE: Woo, I got damn close! Actually since there have been several updates since I originally generated those cards I should probably update them. Savage Coyote
The pdf is a print out of each model from the latest build of the CP. The Crusader was updated to reflect ots original design from CAV2 and the Cataphract was changed to make it more unique. These are now considered the "official" design. Guess the Crusader add in the rulebook will need an errata then since it mentions the Crusaders PBG's... or a Crusader II ;) Edited September 29, 2015 by Savage Coyote
ThatDeadGuy
Hello, I believe I found a Bug in the Force manager. When constructing a Ritterlich Force with Lightning Warfare doctrine, the constructor applies Assault +1 for every weapon system a model has when it outputs the data to PDF (as opposed to Assault +1 only). Just wanted to throw that out there. Program rocks over all though - keep up the good work!
NomadZeke
For the model list, is there a way to tell what size chassis everything is? Like if I'm making a custom cav, but want it to look feasible writin a certain size class, how would that be told for the cav, tanks, or aircraft? The talon games site didn't have that information that I could find.
Maredudd
Not exactly sure what you are looking for but at a guess I'd say that within the Construction Program you can load any "Official" model and you will see the Chassis Size listed. Keep in ind though that the official models designs have been tweaked within the CP. Hope that helped . . .
NomadZeke
It does help, yes, though nothing really listed as 'light'? Even though the rulebook says they are? It's a little confusing. In wanting to convert cav to battletech and vice versa which is why the weight class at least would be very helpful Edited February 13, 2016 by NomadZeke
Colonel Kane
Eke check the model list one the first post in this thread. It list all the current models and the chassis size. I hope that helps.
NomadZeke
Apologies but I don't see the chassis listed, just the role, or an I missing something?
Chrome
In CAV 1, chassis size was tied to the model's #DT. I have no idea if that was carried over to CAV 3. From the JoR1: CAVs: Small = 2-3 DT Large = 4-6 DT Super = 7-8 DT
SparksMurphey
From pages 102/105 of CAV:SO: CAV Small = 3-4 DT (around 25 tons) Medium = 5-6 DT (around 50 tons) Large = 7-8 DT (around 75 tons) Extra-Large = 9-10 DT (around 100 tons) Super = 11-12 DT (around 125 tons) Aircraft Ultra-Light = 2 DT (around 5 tons) Light = 3 DT (around 10 tons) Medium = 4 DT (around 15 tons) Heavy = 5 DT (around 30 tons) Ultra-Heavy = 6 DT (around 50 tons) Combat Vehicles Light = 1-2 DT (around 5 tons) Medium = 3-4 DT (around 20 tons) Heavy = 5-6 DT (around 40 tons) Extra-Heavy = 7-8 DT (around 60 tons) Edited February 16, 2016 by SparksMurphey
NomadZeke
I must have missed that, thanks. The cougar is a large, huh...I wouldn't have expected that
Chrome
The cougar is a large, huh...I wouldn't have expected that It's the same size as most other CAVs, it just doesn't have any missile pods.
Vil-hatarn
The cougar is a large, huh...I wouldn't have expected that It's the same size as most other CAVs, it just doesn't have any missile pods. Or modern weapons, or armor, or a decent repair system...
