What's on TV?

Watched a couple of episodes of Supernatural last night. Somewhere in the middle of The Darkness season. 11?

Binged Netflix's Umbrella Academy over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. It was a little dark but quirky and had a great soundtrack.

I haven’t finished it but I did watch a few episodes over the weekend and really enjoyed it- agree on the soundtrack too it was great, I wonder how much Gerard Way influenced that as this is an adaptation of his comic (or graphic novel? I’m afraid I’m not up on these things I just know he wrote it)

Just finished Sword Art Online alternative Gun Gale Online. It was ok. Didn't really do much for me.

Also finished Ice Fantasy a few days ago. Still kind of surprised I spent that much time in front of the TV the last couple of weeks. Enjoyed it and have lots of ideas for paint schemes on minis now. Some cool costumes in that show. It kind of quit without an ending. Read up on the short second season and it didn't sound so good so don't know if I'll try to find somewhere to watch it.

It was interesting to me, but... Kind of wish it tied into the main story at least somewhat, or at least had a token mention of the larger BoB tournaments.

Pacing was all weird on it too... Fast paced in the first episode, and then it's like a drag chute was fired for 2nd through 4th episode.

Watched the first two episodes of Umbrella Academy.  Hoping they dial down the angst and sibling squabbles and develop a story.  Some of the characters seem interesting and I would like to see them develop more.

Going to look at DC's Doom Patrol tomorrow or Friday.  The preview looked interesting, but I wonder if they can make it work. I just didn't get a real exciting vibe off it.  DC disappoints more often than not.

There wasn't a lot of story and it was a bit weird. I didn't mind it because I'm into guns and stuff but it was lacking and the odd pervert stuff made me shake my head. Compared to the earlier SAO series it just didn't stand up but I've watched worse.

Hasn't aired yet, but I keep seeing commercials for the premiere of Whiskey Cavalier on ABC, and it's interesting enough to get me to watch the pilot this week. If it's as good as The Rookie, ABC has my viewership two nights in a row each week.

I laughed quite a bit during it. I liked Scott Foley back on the Unit, but he's playing a much more tender-hearted character this time around, to great results.

As did I! My father, however, barely did. But this is also a man who sat through "Shaun of the Dead" and asked at the credits "what part of that was supposed to be a comedy?" Meanwhile, I was holding my ribs from laughing during the movie...

Looking forward to this week's episode!

Started watching One Punch Man yesterday because I just couldn't find or think of anything to watch with supper.

Five episodes later, I'm tired today at work....  But I can definitely see why Saitama is popular.

Been watching NCIS, the Rookie, Are You Being Served and Barney Miller. Just started watching Whiskey Cavalier (so far so good). Recently finished up a couple of serials (The Crimson Ghost and the Masked Marvel), going to start on a couple more (Flash Gordon and Green Hornet)
