Is it better than season 2? I liked it a little more, but I think it was a bit slower. The bad guy is almost accidental, which might annoy some folks, but I think works for JJ.
aku-chan
Since there hasn't been much on TV lately, I've been slowly working my way through my big list of anime shows that sound interesting, but it hasn't been going very well. So far, I've managed to watch to completion Dimension W (not bad, but needed to be a heck of a lot longer if they expected me to care about the plot or anything) and Girls Last Tour (not my usual kind of show, but it was oddly enthralling), but everything else (about 8 other series at this point) has been very meh, and I just can't make it past the first three or four episodes. 2

I like that it explored character motivations. As soon as I finish the CPA auditing test, this is up...

Marvin
Well, at least we know they're not secretly watching and enjoying it and just putting on a show, I guess. This new Eva dub, which actually is on Netflix, got me a little shook. Watched the first couple episodes. Technically better I suppose, probably a lot easier for the kids to digest, but it's jarring and disappointing for me as a longtime fan.
redambrosia
You know what's not on TV? Leverage. I got a hankering to watch it and went on to netflix, which is where I binged it last time, but it wasn't there. Stupid amazon had the first episode for free, but I have to pay $2.99 for each additional episode. Fother muckers.
Green Eyed Monster
Am at the kids house having a wonderful time with the grandkidlets while daughter and son in law are in the Azores on a combination vacation and genealogical research trip. Everybody else is taking a nap while I am watching Good Omens on their Amazon Prime account. On episode two and thoroughly enjoying it. Corsair
Been out of town and couldn't catch the Cardinal's ballgames this weekend. Tonight they are on ESPN so I'm getting to watch the game.
Marvin
Was bummed I didn't get to see Pujols's return to St. Louis. Sounded like it was pretty special.
Crowley
Fleabag. Its funny, in a dark sorta way. I'm way more amused by it than my bride is, though she is enjoying it too.
Zink
I've been watching Travellers with my one son and Peaky Blinders by myself. Really got into Peaky Blinders and actually like most of the characters despite them being scummy gangsters. Good job with everyone involved for making the viewers sympathetic towards some very bad people. Travellers is interesting but it doesn't seem like the plot is really going anywhere after a couple seasons and I read that it was cancelled this winter.
Evilhalfling
finished good omens tonight, a good show but not as funny as the book, despite being practically identical. ill give it 9/10 - some bits like Cowlys Car were even better than I remembered. also diving back into Neon Evangelion. I had forgotten how slow the pacing was. They use silence a lot. I wonder if the end makes more sense than it did i n 2003? I wish Netflix had the dubbed version. subtitles are don't work well with computer games. Edited June 25, 2019 by Evilhalfling

It's an unfamiliar dubbing. But I actually like it better.

Not a fan of how every female looks the same. Style is such that I see about zero emotion on any face. I'm sure there is plot there but it is really easy for me to fall asleep during this.

Shingi is totally a potato. Rei is a blank mask. most of the emotion (except embarrassment?) is hidden, its probably on purpose. I have always thought of it as dysfunctional teenagers and barely functional adults (probably) try to save the world. there are no heroes, every character is broken & barely holding it together.
