We’ve been watching this ridiculous show, The Masked Singer. It’s got a lot of good singers, Ken Jong is hilarious, and the costumes are great.

Its biggest flaws are Nicole Whatsherface and Jenny McCarthy. They say the dumbest stuff (which isn’t at all a surprise from Jenny McCarthy).

They have ads for that up all over the city. I wonder if it's available in places that dont require cable..

I've been watching the UK version that wrapped up a couple of weeks ago.

It's weird, despite being the kind of show I'd normally avoid at all costs I really enjoyed it.

Any Castlevania fans around? I see season 3 is out now; have they made enough of it now to watch a decent little bit? I really enjoyed the first season when it released, but it was so very short it almost felt pointless.

Well, the first season was a test run. They weren’t sure if people would dig it. Then it took them a year or so to make a full season. Hubby and I started watching the new season a few days ago ^_^

Watched the first season of Beastars.  It's definitely an interesting one, especially its take on the whole coexistence of predator and prey species.

I do have to say though, hubby and I are happy there actually are characters that are even more dense than I can be with some matters...

It's a rather dark anime through most of the first season... But in an enjoyable way.

Watched Hot Ones "the game show" on TRU last night. If they wouldnt put so much into the drama they could have more game show. The reactions of the contestants to the wing sauce is pretty funny thou.

Been watching Ms Fisher's Murder Mysteries with the missus. Pretty good writing, decent characters, solvable mysteries.

really love this series.  Have you seen Ms Fisher's modern mysteries? Different but very much a 1960s interpretation that is worth watching.  About the only gripe I have is that its English format so the shows are longer and a little drier than the original.

I have started watching this.  I like the show so far (I'm only 3 episodes in) but I have never played the game so my expectations are unknown at this point.  I am looking forward to it thought.

Hit this one and bounced off.  I am not sure about the vibe here but enough people have recommended it to me that I will probably give it a try

Most of the shows I have been watching are catch up:  The expanse, the great English bake off, Murdock Mysteries, and a few scattered anime that my sons talk me into occasionally.  -_-

If anyone wants to play spot the trope with alcohol Letter for the King is a really bad choice.  If you want to see a series that actually ticks all the boxes, including a few tropes I thought were mutually exclusive, then this is your show.

Overall is wasn't bad, but my favorite character was still the horse... and he didn't have a speaking part!

Thanks for the confirmation. I watched the first episode and was luke warm, but will continue to watch as background noise as I play with baby.

I started Breeders on Hulu with the wife. A British parenting comedy with Martin Freeman. As a new parent the jokes really land. 4 episodes have been released so far.

I finished Preacher today. It was fine but made me realize why I dislike everything Garth Enis had written save for his Punisher run.

I just got a subscription to CuriosityStream the other day.  It's a service that streams nothing but documentaries, and the current crisis price is only $12 for a year.  If you're looking to spend some leisure time productively, you ought to check it out.

Maybe someone can educate me: Is there a whole genre or vein of Werner-Herzog style documentaries out there somewhere into which I could tap? I like all sorts of random info, and I've found I like it better with an unobtrusive, vaguely philosophical but decidedly not moralistic, narrative, but I'm incredibly ignorant and don't really know what I like until I see it. And I've really enjoyed Herzog's more recent docs.

Meanwhile I've been rotating sitcoms: Frasier, Reba, Golden Girls, Married... with Children.

Also discovered Happy! season 2 on Netflix today. I really enjoy that stupid show.

Stalled or a couple episodes into season 2 of Altered Carbon. Mackie is a wild disappointment in the role, and the new show runner doesn't seem to "get" something fundamental to what made the first season so great.
