The Defiance and Dark Matter finales are this Friday (the 28th).

And don't forget that Dark Matter is from 9PM to 11PM.

Edit: And with this post I ascend to a Godlike status. Any suggestions on what I should be a Deity of?

I saw Tucker & Dale vs Evil yesterday while painting. Then I saw a few minutes of a new netflix series about robot dinosaurs. It sucked so I turned it off almost immediately.

Supernatural was a pretty decent show for me up until the Leviathan story line. After that I pretty much stopped caring.

I really enjoy Doctor Who, but it's been a bit supersaturated for me. Once the fad passes, and it stops being everywhere all the time I'll go back and watch all the stuff I have missed.

I need to catch up on Adventure Time. I haven't seen anything past season 4. I also am waiting on the Legend of Korra complete collection so that I can binge watch it.

I also enjoy Opera, though I've never been to see one live.

Agents of Shield has been decent enough given that I keep hoping Skye will die a horrible and irrevocable death.

I started watching Arrow and Deadman Wonderland last night. So far both are enjoyable.

From what I hear about what they are doing to The Flash I'm glad I haven't seen it, and probably won't.

I've been watching since loooooooooooooooooooong before the supersaturation, so the fact that it's blown up so huge doesn't really matter to me. So I just keep watching, hoping that Moffat dies a horrible and irrevocable death, and they bring Gatiss back to write it (even though the Gaiman episodes are my favorites, and Nothing O'Clock is my favorite Doctor Who story).

I just keep hoping we get back the Steven Moffat who brought us Blink and River Song... Or that the Steven Moffat we currently have goes away and lets someone competent take over. This last season was just so badly structured... I would love to see what Capaldi could do with good writing, instead of the nonsensical drivel they've given him.

I've been rewatching the new-Who. Somehow I'd missed New Earth the first go-around, but after I realized I hated Rose Tyler and not Billie Piper, I really wanted to see it again.

At some point, my wife and I should go back and watch ye-olde-Who. I presume there's no particular starting point we should go off of and just watch whatever's on Netflix.

I've been watching off and on since the early 80's, but I didn't get seriously interested until Eccleston became the Doctor.

He is in fact my favorite Doctor (followed by Tom Baker), but I have to say that there really isn't a Doctor I don't like. There have been plenty of companions I hated though. My favorite episode is probably The Girl in the Fireplace or The Doctor Dances.

There's no particular starting point...sort of.  You wouldn't be completely lost or find them unenjoyable or anything to watch them out of order, but there is actually a continuity to them.  At minimum, I would try to watch any given regeneration of the Doctor in order.  Personally, I prefer to start at Pertwee and work my way through.

I gave up on new Who some time ago.  I loved Eccleston and really felt he brought a lot to the table but after that I got pretty burned out on it.

I've got the DVDs for season 1 of Battlestar Galactica, I should really watch that sometime soon.

Here's another one I'm out alone on. Everybody loved the new BSG and raved about how awesome it was.

I watched the first season. It was ... good.  Not awesome. Not amazing. Not fantastic.  Good.  I don't understand the hype.

When did you watch BSG? I found the first two seasons really compelling because it was written during the War in Iraq when there were questions about torture and morals and religion that were reflected in real life. Made the show a bit more poignant. Typically when i hear of someone watching outside of that, they tend to have your opinion.

I certainly loved the way they handled inertia and sound in space combat.

I really like the Blacklist, Sherlock on BBC (Cumberbatch) Brilliant, catching up on the Flash, The 100, and finally thinking the actors in Dark Matter are starting to feel their roles. First few episodes were painful. Just started Dominion but the verdict is still out for me. Fear the Walking Dead.

Tom is my favorite, followed by Tennant, then McCoy, then Capaldi. I just love Neil Gaiman's writing, though, no mater which Doctor he writes for.

ETA: I literally cried when I heard Tom Baker's voice at the end of Day of the Doctor. Cried. Like a baby. I was so happy.

Speaking of (nu) Battlestar, wife and I are watching Firefly for the first time in a while. I'm now totally convinced that the latter laid the groundwork for the former in terms of space shots and such. Way the camera cuts in and out and all . . . .

My brother, the consummate fan of both shows, very politely told me I'm crazy.

ETA: Now he says he sees the similarities, at least, but isn't sure he's ready to buy the theory in toto.
