The show felt hateful towards the watcher if that makes any sense.

I've owned Netflix and Prime long enough to understand exactly what you're saying.

Angry at Netflix for cancelling the Santa Clarita Diet. They cancelled it on a cliffhanger too!!

I'm pretty sure that Riverdale, with the current weird as heckins season, has more story weaving going on than Game of Thrones. What?!

Just caught the first episode of The Doom Patrol on youtube... It was very weird, pretty much a self-aware subversion of the genre, heavy on the snark and the dark comedy.

A lot of good stuff there (Brendan Fraser and Matt Bomer doing some pretty good voicework), but then some stuff wasn't so good - they seemed rushed and half-explained, clearly waiting for the next couple episodes to actually get to the point...

Not sure if it's going to be good or not. But I don't watch tv anymore so I won't be following it anyway.

Zapping through TV during an uneventful evening and close to going to bed, I once again stumbled upon a new episode of Air Crash Investigation.

Oh boy, that brings back memories.

So I had to have a look. I have got around 120 hours of ACI ... hm. Challenge accepted ...

To be fair, that's pretty true to what I've read of the source material. The original run, anyway. I haven't read any of the recent reboot.

Can't speak to the show, yet.

Recently finished a series on Netflix called Babylon Berlin. It's an English dub of a show out of Germany (original German language also available). It's during the Weimar Republic in 1929, the government that existed after the German monarchy was abolished after WWI, and before Hitler's rise to power. That's just the setting, it's more of a police detective/mystery drama.

I really enjoyed it for a number of reasons: (1) there aren't many shows that detail the fallout of WWI from a non-Allied perspective and (2) having lived and attended school in Berlin for a few years, the historical backdrop is familiar and seeing certain places mentioned brings back good memories.

If you historical context tv shows, and don't mind foreign or dubbed shows (or hey, if you speak German), it's a good one. Adult themes are present, so bear that in mind if you have young impressionable eyes around the house.

Anybody else watching Good Omens?  it really is well done and follows the book pretty well.  It one of the Amazon Prime lot.  I loved the book and I am pleased with the show so far.

I've read the book, heard the radio play, and seen the trailers.  I've thoroughly enjoyed all of them.

Seems like it will be a well done series, with Neil Gaiman as Executive Producer it should adhere to the story told in the book very well.

Unfortunately, I'm not an Amazon Prime subscriber so will have to wait until it is offered in some other format.

Not a streamer so I've got to wait for it to come out on DVD or something, if it ever does.

For those of us in the UK, it will be on BBC2 later this year.

The worst thing I can say about it is that it isn't the book. Gaiman was obviously watching over their shoulders; it's quite true to the book, and adds some neat twists as well.
