Just proves it can be done. David Tennet is fantastic.
Inarah
I saw the first episode of Warrior. Meh. Too much drama, don't really care for the swearing, don't care about the characters. Reminds me of Ripper Street with different costumes. The men are all swaggering tough guys and the women are all (mostly) whores. Watching Good Omens. It's weird but fascinating in a typically British fashion. Like if John Cleese and Douglas Adams had a baby... Tennant is... being Tennant. I'm not sure he can act, he just gets roles where he can be himself. The Spanish Princess has been interesting. But I know how it's going to end.

Gaiman was obviously watching over their shoulders; it's quite true to the book, and adds some neat twists as well. Both Neil Gaiman and Rob Wilkins, Terry Patchett's Personal Assistant, have Executive Producer credits. That's about as close, this side of Death's domain, as it's possible to get to the original writing team. GEM

It's an English dub of a show out of Germany (original German language also available). It's during the Weimar Republic in 1929, the government that existed after the German monarchy was abolished after WWI, and before Hitler's rise to power. That's just the setting, it's more of a police detective/mystery drama. I really enjoyed it for a number of reasons: (1) there aren't many shows that detail the fallout of WWI from a non-Allied perspective and (2) having lived and attended school in Berlin for a few years, the historical backdrop is familiar and seeing certain places mentioned brings back good memories. If you historical context tv shows, and don't mind foreign or dubbed shows (or hey, if you speak German), it's a good one. Adult themes are present, so bear that in mind if you have young impressionable eyes around the house. Yeah, watched the show. It wasn't bad. The ending was a bit over the top, but that''s often the case. I thought the novel (der nasse fisch) was better, but as always, also differs in certain ways. I'm looking forward to watching season 2.

(with a massive amount of TV channels thrown in) And I live in Europe, so the spelling is right. Incidentally, I've been switching off the Autocorrupt wherever I find it. 1

WhiteWulfe
So, watched Season 2 of Aggretsuko over the past few days. Almost didn't make it through the first episode due to it bringing about various personal memories, but.... Intriguing story lines. Love how they did the last quarter of the tenth episode though! Spoilered because it might be considered a spoiler by some. Spoiler They really need to stop being teases about a few things though!!! Moderator Darsc Zacal Posted June 19, 2019 Moderator Share Posted June 19, 2019 The preview for this weekends episode of Endeavor on PBS’s Masterpiece Theater briefly showed what appeared to be the set of a Thunderbirds type of marionette show. Which makes sense as Endeavor takes place in the late ‘60’s early ‘70’s
Citrine
We just finished Bodyguard, a 6 episode series from the BBC. Very good acting, but it wasn't really what we like. I would say it's a political thriller. A lot of political intrigue, a psychologically damaged main character, very topical with the tension between fighting terrorism and personal freedoms front and center. Cyradis
Watched the last season of Jessica Jones. Not as good as the first season was, but it was good. I like that it explored character motivations.

Is it better than season 2?
